Chapter 31 "Are you one of those who's clueless too?"
Chapter 31 "Are you one of those who's clueless too?"
The wheat field in the autumn night exuded an inescapable chill, and the goblins exhaled white breath, their hair standing on end.
The swaying wheat ears, so dense and numerous, were practically blotting out the sky for the short-statured goblin race. Once inside, they couldn't tell which way was which.
Unhappy gripped the axe tightly in his hand, head down, following the goblin's scent while watching the trampled wheat on the ground, closely following Geb's footsteps.
"You think you're so great, big guy?"
That voice echoed in my unhappy mind again.
"Shut up! You bastard! If I catch you, you'll regret it!"
He was unhappy and didn't understand how Gebu had gotten into his head, but he was so angry that he didn't care at all.
"Come on, let me show you the way, come this way."
A frog's croak suddenly came from afar.
"Gu-gua."
He paused for a moment, then ran in that direction.
As he ran, he sensed something was wrong. He heard a muffled footstep following him, like the sound of a goblin stepping on the soft soil of a wheat field.
He slammed on the brakes in a fit of anger, then swung his spinning axe around!
The figure suddenly crouched down, dodging the axe's attack from below.
Unhappy, he pulled back his axe to chop downwards, but the goblin in front of him looked up, revealing a pair of red eyes.
"No brains?" Annoyed, the axe hovered in the air, not quite ready to strike.
"It's a poke." The red-eyed goblin gave him a simple, honest smile.
Unhappy, he lowered his guard and put down his weapon.
"Where are the others?"
"Stir-fry...and then surround them."
Hearing the red-eyed goblin in front of him say this, he was displeased and pricked up his ears to listen: it seemed that there were indeed faint footsteps coming from nearby, like a bunch of wild rabbits running around.
Then, the croaking of frogs started again.
Unhappy, he shouted loudly at the sky, "My little ones! Advance towards the croaking of frogs!"
"……OK……"
"receive……"
A faint, weak reply came from afar.
Damn it, have these goblins not eaten?
The yellow-skinned goblin cursed under his breath, "They're all useless."
"Hey kid, stick close to me!" he said to the brainless man, then hurried toward the sound of frogs.
-----------------
"Coo-quack."
After wandering through the wheat field for a while, the croaking of frogs grew closer and closer. The yellow-skinned goblin was unhappy; he could almost smell the cowardice in Goblin's veins... His axe was itching to strike.
"Found you!"
Huangpi leaped out of the wheat field. This was an open area in the field, where the wheat formed a circle on the boundary—a wheat field circle, more than ten meters in diameter.
Little Goblin stood at the far end of the crop circle, his hands behind his back.
He wore a bear skull and a self-made animal costume (currently only four or five types), with a large toad sitting on his head.
Geb looked at the wet, panting yellow goblin in front of him with great interest, showing no fear.
Seeing the little guy opposite him so calm, he hesitated and became unhappy... In that instant, he felt that he was no longer the hunter, but the prey.
A cold wind blew by, chilling him to the bone. Unhappy shivered, and a sense of foreboding made him stop in his tracks.
Splash, splash.
No-Brain chased after them from behind and jumped into the crop circle. Within seconds, the other goblins arrived, emerging from the wheat field and standing beside Unhappy.
Seeing that his side had more people, he felt more confident despite his displeasure. He bared his fangs, and his ferocity was undisguised on his grotesque yellow face.
"Are you ready to die, Gebu? Neither the old shaman nor Boss Xiong can save you! Tonight, in this wheat field, I am your father. I will cut open your belly and see how brave you are!"
Gebu tilted his head and smiled.
"Come on, let's duel!"
Huh? He frowned, displeased. Has this guy gone mad?
Gebu's face showed no sign of joking. He stretched out his right hand, holding a bone dagger, his "little treasure."
"Come on, let's have a fight," Gebu challenged.
Huangpi stepped forward, holding an axe.
His axe was large, while Gebu's dagger was small.
What does this guy mean? Where does his confidence come from?
He looked around and saw that, including No-Brain, there were ten goblins on his side, while there was only Geb on the other side.
"Fine, let's do it! You think I'm afraid of you?!"
Unhappy, he raised his axe and charged forward!
Huang Pi had just taken two steps when a strange force suddenly bound his ankles, causing him to lose his balance and fall to the ground with a thud.
"Who grabbed my foot?!" Annoyed, she sprang up on the ground, rolled over, and waved wildly to the side.
He was all alone.
"What's wrong, chickened out? Legs went weak?" Gebu sneered.
"Fuck you..." Yellow Skin rallied and charged forward again.
With a flick of his wrist, Gebu sent a powerful shove into the back of the grumpy man, who stumbled and fell again, this time even harder, plunging headfirst into the dirt and getting a mouthful of mud.
"Pah! Pah!"
The yellow-skinned goblin wiped his face, then used his axe to support himself and struggled to his feet.
What the heck?! Is this a ghost?! He felt like an invisible hand was toying with him. But there was no one around!
He muttered to himself, and just as he was about to get up, the axe was suddenly pulled down, and with a snap, the goblin lost his balance and fell to the ground again.
Something's wrong! Something's definitely not right!
Even the most reckless fellow would sense something was amiss now. Yellow Skin stopped charging forward, grabbed his axe, rolled twice on the ground, and retreated in a sorry state to the edge of the crop circle.
"Charge! Charge! You idiot, turn him into a sieve!"
Unhappy, he hysterically pointed at Geb and shouted wildly at the goblins around him—his voice was hoarse from shouting.
The goblins did not move.
"What are you waiting for! Hurry up! Hey!"
Having said that, Bu Gaoxing grabbed No-Brain's shoulders with both hands and pushed him forward. No-Brain was pushed half a step but showed no intention of moving forward.
"Go! If you don't obey, I'll kill you!"
The goblins ignored him and all looked at Geb.
Geb nodded.
"Hey... what's going on... hurry up and get him!" The unhappy voice lowered, turning from doubt to despair.
The goblins turned their heads and stared at them unhappily.
His displeased gaze softened—these lackeys, who usually wouldn't even dare to look him in the eye, had changed their expressions now, holding daggers in their hands, their pupils filled with endless coldness.
"I...I!" Unhappy with being stared at by so many eyes, he finally couldn't take it anymore, and fear overcame his fighting spirit.
Huangpi turned around and ran towards the wheat field behind him.
However, as soon as he turned around and took a step, a sudden, bone-chilling cold shot through his lower abdomen.
"Ha—ah..."
Unhappy, he tried to take another step, but his lower body seemed to lose all strength, and he lost his footing, ending up kneeling on the ground.
A goblin walked up to him and grabbed Yellow Skin's arm. Unhappy thought the goblin was going to help him up, but as soon as he turned his head, before he could even see the man's face clearly, a dagger was plunged into his side!
The dagger was pulled out, along with the pressure in his abdomen that had been released. His body went limp, and he could no longer resist.
A knife.
A knife.
A knife.
The goblins surrounded the strong, yellow-skinned goblin, puffing, puffing, puffing, puffing.
Their faces were expressionless as they routinely plunged daggers into the goblin's body, pulled them out, then plunged them in again, and pulled them out again.
"Uh... um..."
Unhappy, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, he knelt on the ground, his body supported only by his bones, his eyes unfocused—he was trying to find out who had killed him, but there were too many murderers and the night was too dark, he couldn't see who was stabbing him.
The crowd dispersed, and the red-eyed goblin slowly appeared in front of the yellow-skinned goblin.
He raised his eyes in displeasure, and finally, he recognized the face in front of him.
Once upon a time, No-Brain was Unhappy's most trusted subordinate.
"So, you're also clueless?"
He said listlessly, sounding unhappy.
The red-eyed goblin didn't answer him, but instead buried the dagger in its hand deep into the yellow-skinned goblin's throat.
