Chapter 136 Bathroom Rules
Chapter 136 Bathroom Rules
"He's lying! He clearly had crucial information!" a young analyst shouted incoherently. "Why would he hide it?!"
Team Leader Yamamoto slammed his hand on the control panel, his face flushed red with extreme disappointment and anger.
"Baka yarou! Dragon Kingdom... Doesn't the Dragon Kingdom always pride itself on benevolence, righteousness, propriety, wisdom, and trustworthiness? How can their chosen ones be so selfish! To stand by and watch someone die! This is an act against morality!"
He turned abruptly, his eyes burning with rage:
"Communications officer! Immediately connect me to the Dragon Kingdom Ghost Stories strategy team's hotline!"
"I want to lodge a strong protest with them!"
"They must be held accountable for Lin Feng's lack of cooperation and his disruptive behavior that undermines team harmony!"
"Team leader! Please calm down!" The older analyst rushed forward and grabbed Yamamoto's arm, urgently urging him, "We can't do this!"
"First of all, the world of ghost stories is inherently fraught with danger, and the Chosen Ones have the right to decide whether to share information; this is permitted by the rules!"
"Secondly, Lin Feng is not one of our team members; he has no obligation to help us!"
"Finally, and most importantly, if we protest rashly now, we will only anger the Dragon Kingdom and completely sever any tiny possibility that the God-Era Lord might receive help from Lin Feng in the future!"
Team Leader Yamamoto was panting heavily, his fists clenched, but reason told him that his subordinates were right.
He stared intently at Ryuichi Kamishiro's beautiful face on the live stream screen, a face still bearing a hint of expectation, and a huge sense of powerlessness and frustration welled up inside him.
........................
Lin Feng glanced at the three of them, then subtly changed the subject:
"While I was away, did you scout out the canteen, the exercise yard, or the prisoner labor camp?"
Wasim shook his head: "No, we think it's safer to wait for you to come back before we act together."
"Hmm." Lin Feng glanced at the plain clock on the wall. "I'll only be out for about ten minutes, it's not too late yet. Shall we go and familiarize ourselves with the surroundings together?"
None of them objected.
Just as they stepped out of the room, Ryuichi Kamishiro smiled apologetically:
"Um...excuse me, everyone, please wait a moment. I need to use the restroom first."
Lin Feng's eyes flickered slightly, and he nodded: "In the ghost story dungeon, places like the restrooms often hide rules or...trouble. Let's go take a look together."
The four followed the signs and found the shared toilet located in a corner of the D-section prison guards' living area.
As soon as I reached the door, a slightly worn metal sign hanging on the wall came into view.
The sign had some rust on the edges, and several lines of rules were written on it in dark red paint. The handwriting looked somewhat eerie in the dim light.
[Rules for using the prison guards' private restrooms]
[1. The restroom is a space where danger and privacy coexist.]
Before entering, please ensure that the sign clearly reads "Prison Guard Only". If the sign is blurry or covered with dirt, do not enter and immediately go to the restroom in another area.
After reading the first rule, the four of them simultaneously looked up at the lintel—
There was a metal plaque nailed there, with the words "For Prison Guards Only" clearly visible and without any dirt or damage.
Tom rubbed his chin, his brows gradually furrowing:
"This rule seems correct, but why does it feel like there's a huge trap hidden inside?"
He pointed to the latter half of the rules and lowered his voice:
"Think about it, what if someone couldn't hold it in any longer in the middle of the night and came over, only to find that the house number has suddenly become blurry... what would they do then?"
"The rules told us to go to the 'other area' restroom immediately, which, literally, should be the guard restrooms in the A, B, and C prison blocks."
"But that means we'll have to leave Sector D in the middle of the night, groping our way to the toilet in the dark in a completely unfamiliar prison... Who can guarantee we won't bump into something we shouldn't be touching along the way?"
Vassim crossed his arms and said in a deep voice, "Let's try to drink less water at night to avoid getting up at night."
He paused, then added, "If you really can't hold it in... just find an empty plastic bottle and take care of it in your dorm room. Safety first, after all."
Tom immediately nodded: "Great idea! I agree!"
The four then turned their attention to rule 2:
2. Do not look in the mirror for more than 10 seconds.
If you see a blurry figure behind you in the mirror, remember, do not turn around!
Immediately rinse your face with cold water, look away from the mirror, and quickly leave the wash area.
Wasim's gaze shifted to Ryuichi Kamishiro and Tom, his eyes carrying a hint of warning:
"You two, especially need to be careful. One is a comedian, and the other is a cross-dressing blogger. You must be looking in the mirror and grooming yourselves all the time. You'd better keep your composure here."
Upon hearing this, both Ryuichi Kamishiro and Tom nodded solemnly.
3. If you notice the tap water is light red and has a strong rusty smell when washing your hands, remain calm and turn off the tap.
Then, facing the mirror, clearly and loudly say three times in a row, "This water isn't clean!"
Please try again at the next available sink; the water flow should then return to normal.
Upon reading this third rule, Ryuichi Kamishiro's delicate eyebrows immediately furrowed, and a look of worry appeared on his face:
"Assuming I followed the rules and went to the adjacent sink, what if the water flow... still didn't return to normal?"
Lin Feng: "The safest approach is to avoid washing hands under running water as much as possible, thus mitigating the risk at its source."
Ryuichi Kamishiro pursed his lips: "But... what if the second rule is triggered, and I see a shadow behind me in the mirror, and according to the rules I must 'immediately rinse my face with cold water'... what should I do then? There seems to be a contradiction between the rules."
Wasim offered a simple and direct solution: "Then don't look in the mirror. As long as you don't look in the mirror, the second rule won't be triggered, and naturally, you won't need to wash your face with water."
Takashi Kamishiro opened his mouth and said, "...Okay."
4. You must shower daily to wash away the grime. Always use the green soap provided by the prison when showering. If the soap slips while showering, remember, do not bend down to pick it up!
Tom stared at the rules, raising an eyebrow: "Looks like not showering every day isn't an option."
With a hint of wishful thinking, Ryuichi Kamishiro asked softly, "Well... if the soap accidentally falls, it's okay if I don't pick it up, right?"
Lin Feng: "I'm afraid it's not that simple. I suspect that if the soap isn't picked up after it falls, it might disappear."
"Then when you shower the next day, there will be no soap available, and you won't be able to wash away the 'bad air' on your body."
Tom gave a strange smile, nudged Ryuichi Kamishiro beside him with his elbow, and said in a slightly mocking tone:
"Hey, I'm saying... what do you guys think? If we actually bend down to pick it up... what if some hidden weirdo... um... 'goes through the back door'?"
Ryuichi Kamishiro's fair face flushed instantly, and he glared at him irritably: "It's not funny at all!"
........................
Studio:
"Holy crap, Tom's right! This rule is terrifying when you think about it!"
"Ryuichi Kamishiro's appearance would definitely put him in high danger in prison!"
"A man with feminine features is practically a walking 'luring the enemy into a trap' aura in a place like this!"
"Judging from Ryuichi's reaction, could someone have walked past him?!"
"This man, drowning in debt, will probably have to pay it off here!"
