The Silent Witch of Hogwarts

Chapter 335 Party

Chapter 335 Party

Chapter 335 Party

"First—we need to tidy up the room first—"

"Then came the ribbons—"

"Ah—it would be best if there were another bell hanging here—"

Inside the mountain cabin, Loila ran back and forth nervously, sometimes running upstairs and sometimes running downstairs to the living room.

Although she hadn't been back for a long time, Loila still knew the rooms very well. She ran back and forth between the rooms, moving chairs from one place to another or throwing more firewood into the fireplace.

"You're really excited—" Nagini sat on the sofa in the living room, watching Loila's actions with great interest.

"I—I'm not—not excited at all." Loila immediately pursed her lips and denied it after Nagini said that, but while denying it, she was still struggling with whether to serve the guests coffee or black tea.

"Miss Nagini, which do you think is better—better?"

"Maybe you should prepare for all of them," Nagini said with a shrug. "And I think most of them probably don't matter."

"How could you—not care?"

"The book says that the British love to drink black tea, while the French love—love coffee—and pure-blood wizards, like most, prefer black tea."

Where did you get all this information from?

Nagini raised an eyebrow but didn't speak. She felt it might be better to let Loila prepare on her own, or perhaps she simply preferred watching Loila bustling around.

There are still several hours before the party starts.

It has to be said—her performance seems to be getting better and better—Nagini originally thought she wouldn't do such a thing, after all, it didn't seem to have anything to do with the shy Professor Hamilton.

But now it seems I underestimated her.

Loila not only decided to throw a party, but she also personally invited all her friends.

Hagrid, Miss Shiloh, Luna, and Mr. Lupin—though she didn't have many friends, everyone accepted her invitation.

That seems enough, doesn't it?

Watching Loila slip and drop a plate of snacks on the floor, Nagini shook her head helplessly and got up from the sofa.

Well, I'd better help her myself—otherwise, clumsy Professor Hamilton might really be too late to prepare.

"Cough cough."

Standing at the door of the cottage, Shiloh coughed and then straightened her expression. It was a little funny, but she seemed a bit nervous.

Yeah, I'm just nervous.

As an elite wizard who has already eliminated many of the Mara's enemies, going to a party at a friend's house is actually a bit nerve-wracking.

Shiloh had never visited a friend's house before, let alone attended a party.

She often attends banquets and such, but parties—something so Americanized by wizards—are something she really doesn't have much experience with.

--------------

I wonder how Loila feels about her gift? Carrying the small box, Shiloh did her hair one last styling.

"Bang bang bang".

She slowly reached out and knocked on the door, making a crisp sound.

Then, in the very next second, the door opened, as if her knocking was some kind of magic.

"Hiro—Miss Hiro!" Standing at the door was the silver-haired figure. She wasn't wearing her usual robe, but instead chose a white shirt that looked more casual. She wasn't wearing anything on her head, but instead had a red headband tied up lightly.

She seemed a little surprised to see Shiloh, hence the slightly bewildered expression on her face.

"Good evening, Loira." For some reason, seeing Loira's expression made Hilo feel happy. She smiled gently and said, "Didn't expect me to come so early?"

"Ah—no—no!" Her flustered state was truly delightful.

Hilo raised an eyebrow and handed the small box to Loila: "This is my gift, Loila."

"Thank you—thank you, Miss Shiloh."

Watching her carefully accept the gift, Shiloh pursed her lips and slowly walked into the room.

I seem to have arrived quite early; none of Roy's other friends have come yet—it seems my early arrival wasn't in vain.

But the party attire is way too trendy, isn't it?

Hilo stared blankly at the various colorful ribbons hanging from the living room ceiling and the bubble-like things floating in the air.

And why are there bells? — It's not Christmas today, is it?

"Please, please have some tea, Miss Hilo." The silver-haired girl gently waved her wand, and a cup of already brewed black tea slowly floated into Hilo's hand, bringing her back to her senses.

"How are you feeling, Miss Shiloh?" Nagini, sitting on the sofa, blinked and asked, as if she had read her thoughts.

It felt really weird—just as Shiloh was about to give that answer, she saw Loila's pleading eyes; it was obvious she wanted her to praise her.

"Um----"

Hilo hesitated for a few seconds, then came up with the best answer she could give.

"It feels like they put a lot of effort into it."

"No—no, it's just a simple arrangement—"

You really get carried away so easily!

Hilo shook his head helplessly and took a sip of black tea.

Soon, there was another knock on the door; it seemed that other guests had arrived.

Miss Lovegood, Mr. Lupin, Hagrid —

I have far more friends than I ever imagined.

Hilo couldn't help but smile as he looked at the people sitting in the living room, chatting and laughing.

This was a rare instance where she didn't show a sarcastic smile.

I have to admit—I really never thought this day would come—especially at the beginning of the semester, when I was clearly there to kill her.

As a result, without realizing it, she gradually became friends with her—Shilo couldn't explain why, even though she had disliked her not long ago.

Perhaps it was the Veela's allure?

Hilo shook his head at this thought and looked at the girl who didn't even wipe her mouth after drinking coffee, leaving coffee stains on the corners of her lips.

That's good too—making friends with others and such—

"Oh, right, Loila, didn't you say you were going to play the harmonica?" Nagini said, as if suddenly remembering something. "I remember you said you were going to perform for everyone."

"Huh?" Loila paused for a moment, then quickly shook her head: "I didn't—I didn't say that—"

"Professor Hamilton can play the harmonica?" Hagrid exclaimed in astonishment. "Professor Hamilton is amazing!"

"I'm quite surprised too," Lupin said, raising an eyebrow. "I've never heard you say that before."

"Of course Loila can play it," Luna chuckled, sitting on the carpet. "And she plays it very well."

"You've clearly never heard of Luna either!"

"Really, Loila?" Shiloh decided to give her a push, probably not because she wanted to hear something too.

"Could you perform for us?"

"Hmm." Encouraged by everyone's teasing, Loila bit her lip helplessly, finally blushing and pursing her lips as she said, "Okay—okay."

"But I only know—I only know one song."

"One song is enough," Hagrid said, patting his chest. "I don't know a single one!"

"Hagrid, you should focus more on making pastries than on music," Lupin said with a light laugh, shaking his head. He seemed to have just tasted the rock cakes Hagrid had brought.

"Alright, alright, quiet down." Nagini clapped her hands lightly and said, "Miss Loila Hamilton is about to begin her performance."

As soon as she spoke, everyone shut their mouths and watched with smiles as Loila slowly picked up her harmonica.

"Buzz~ Buzz~"

(A melodious tune)

Well, Loila really can play the harmonica — Hilo listened to the somewhat intermittent but surprisingly beautiful sound and slowly closed her eyes.

Attending parties and stuff like that seems really fun!
