Chapter 78, Section 77: The Stain of Blood, the Shadowless Slaughter [3rd Update]
Chapter 78, Section 77: The Stain of Blood, the Shadowless Slaughter [3rd Update]
The second day of school.
Ian suffered an epic blow, a treatment akin to Harry Potter.
"What did you say? I killed the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher? How come I didn't know?"
Ian's legs aren't actually that short, but his current height and overall size are still limited, so he can't quite keep up with Penelope's long legs.
"Don't worry too much. Anyone with a normal IQ can tell it's not you. I don't think the professors would be stupid enough to believe the nonsense of a Slytherin bad seed."
"What a joke! This is utterly absurd. Only someone kicked in the head by a troll would slander a newly enrolled wizard as capable of killing a powerful, adult wizard?"
"He might as well say that Professor Erich was ambushed by magic that Filch had been hiding for decades!" Penelope said, telling a hellish joke while defending Ian.
At least if the administrator, Filch, were here, it would feel like hell.
"Who identified me?"
Ian wasn't too nervous. He had only had a minor conflict with Pipi yesterday, and as long as Pipi didn't complain, it wasn't a big deal for him.
Something I've never done before.
How could those Slytherin brats blame him?
Although his autobiography, "Me and My Uncle Headmaster at Hogwarts," is still being drafted, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. After all, Snape couldn't just stand by and watch him be framed and sent to Azkaban.
"Marcus Flint, a fourth-year student, the Chaser of Slytherin Quidditch, whose family is one of the damn Twenty-Eight Holy Clans."
"He must be trying to curry favor with the Greengrass family because of Daphne Greengrass. Those pure-blood families are all the same."
Penelope, the senior student, paused briefly before adding, "Only the Weasley family is somewhat better, but their twins are a real nuisance."
I don't know who I'm emphasizing this to.
"About Miss Greengrass?" Ian didn't choose to mention that he might also be a pureblood, but was somewhat surprised that he would be slandered because of Daphne Greengrass.
After the start of the school year.
He had never interacted with Daphne Greengrass, and even the gift he prepared for her was temporarily put on hold because she was still unconscious.
"There are rumors in Slytherin that Daphne Greengrass uttered your name before she fell into a coma, and some suspect that you cast a curse on her on the ferry."
"Your friend Aurora Grindelwald taught a few people a lesson for this, but there are always some fools who believe that the professors can't tell the effects of the curse."
Penelope's voice carried a hint of helplessness.
This was the first time Ian had realized how bad his reputation was at Hogwarts.
He's just a freshman.
"I didn't curse her. Even though Miss Greengrass insulted me by calling me a 'Mudblood' on the ferry, I only wanted to reform her." Ian's words evoked Penelope's sympathy, as she too had been attacked because of her Muggle background.
"That's an extremely rude way to address someone, it's pure discrimination, and only those disgusting Slytherin purebloods would be so despicable!"
"You're the victim here, and they're even trying to turn the tables on you! How despicable!" Penelope felt completely empathetic and increasingly indignant on Ian's behalf.
"I believe the wise professors will prove my innocence." Ian followed Penelope Penelope through the long corridor, going up the constantly rotating path.
The top floor of the West Tower.
Besides a few professors from various houses, there were also several prefects who were conducting the search. Ravenclaw's male prefect, Dietrich, was arguing heatedly with a student who had teeth.
"That's the guy! I saw him with my own eyes! There's no mistake!" Marcus Flint had a face with a lot of teeth due to inbreeding.
His tone was firm.
Even with Snape standing next to him, his face grim.
He persisted as always.
"When the professors ask you questions later, just tell them the truth," Penelope carefully reminded him before leading Ian closer to the scene of the incident.
The house was found inside the owl hut.
Because a large pile of straw completely concealed Professor Ronnie Ehrlich's tattered body, even professors who had searched the area during the drought couldn't find anything amiss.
According to Penelope Road, Marcus Flint recounted that he overcame his fears before choosing to come forward and expose the murderer.
If not.
It may take the professors quite some time to find the body.
"Professors, I've brought Ian with me."
Enter the shed.
A damp and faintly putrid smell filled the air.
Snape stared intently at Marcus Flint with a grim expression, Dumbledore frowned as he looked at the pile of dismembered corpses, and Ravenclaw's headmaster, Felix Flitwick, was squatting over the body, examining it.
Ian hadn't expected that his first meeting with his own dean would be in such a setting. Felius Frivius, however, didn't look up at him.
"That's terrifying."
Penelope turned pale again when she saw the pieces of the body that had been dug out and pieced together, but she still stood next to Ian with the male prefect Dietrich.
The prefects from the other three houses were also there, and they all looked at Ian with a mixture of surprise and uncertainty. Among them, Percy Weasley, the prefect of Gryffindor, even had a hint of fear in his eyes.
"That's him!"
Marcus Flint pointed at Ian.
Ian ignored him.
The corpses on the ground were bloody and gruesome. Flies were still buzzing around the pieced-together remains of the body. Ian's gaze lingered on the corpses for only a moment.
With a quiet reminder from the prefect, Dietrich, he saw a palm-sized patch of dark red on the wall where the haystack had been removed, with a line of crooked and shocking bloody words on it.
"Prince"
The words, written in blood as if they were some kind of reminder, with bloodstains dripping down at the end, were a very suggestive "last words," naturally referring to Ian's surname.
"A clumsy attempt to frame someone."
Ian spoke softly, his tone calm.
"Mr. Prince, you're right, a dismembered corpse can't write, but Mr. Flint says he saw you here murder Professor Ronnie Ehrlich."
Professor McGonagall stood there with a serious expression, staring at Ian with his dignified eyes. His tone was not exactly stern, but it was very solemn.
"Flint? Is that the troll hybrid standing over there spewing filth?" Ian looked in Marcus Flint's direction, his words provoking the other's fury.
Lies don't hurt people.
The truth is the fastest way to cut.
Marcus Flint did indeed bear a resemblance to the troll. "How dare you humiliate me! You damned murderer!" Marcus Flint roared and tried to charge forward, but Snape grabbed him and pinned him to the top of his head.
His two prefects stood by without speaking up for him, their heads turned to the side as if they were seriously counting the ants on the ground.
"If you saw me kill someone, especially a professor, would you still dare to be so vicious to me?" Ian curled his lip in disdain.
"The professors are here, what can you do to me?" Marcus Flint, whose head was being held down, still shouted menacingly at Ian despite the pressure on his head.
"You'll go to Azkaban! And you'll never get out!"
My head hurts.
The fourth-grade student looked somewhat pained.
But he persisted as always.
"Stop talking nonsense. Ian is just a first-year wizard. Do you think everyone is like you dark wizard families who learn dark magic from a young age?"
Senior student Penelope immediately helped Ian name Marcus Flint.
Snape's expression was somewhat strange.
But he didn't speak.
Just at this time.
After examining the dismembered body, Dean Flitwick stood up. He first gave Ian a reassuring look.
Then he shook his head at the other professors and said in a low voice.
"It is the original version of the Divine Edge Shadow Spell by Severus."
His words left the prefects completely bewildered. Snape breathed a sigh of relief, and Professor McGonagall's expression also relaxed somewhat. Dumbledore looked up at Ian at the opportune moment.
His eyes were gentle, and his tone was very soft.
"Mr. Prince, would you mind if we checked your wand? Of course, just to be on the safe side." Dumbledore seemed to leave Ian no room to refuse.
no way.
Ian could only pull out his own wand and hand it over. At Dumbledore's signal, Dean Flitwick stepped forward and took the wand from Ian's hand.
"Don't worry, child, we won't wrong the innocent." Dean Flitwick felt he had reassured Ian, though only Ian knew that he had indeed unleashed the Divine Edge Shadowless Curse yesterday.
but.
Dean Flitwick's recitation of the original version of the Divine Edge Shadowless Spell was clearly a crucial discovery, and Ian felt it revealed some intriguing information.
Dean Flitwick brought Ian's wand back to Dumbledore.
Ian knew what they were going to do with the wand.
Flashback before the spell.
A spell that allows you to see which spells a wand has used in the past.
"Why."
Ian was a little annoyed.
He wasn't afraid to reveal his grudge against Pipi Ghost yesterday in front of a group of professors and senior students. After all, whose ancestors didn't have some special bloodline and abilities?
Stupid Banaba also said that Ian's ancestors had slept with a female ghost.
Being able to contact ghosts is not a secret that needs to be hidden.
The reason he sighed was...
The reason is that even now, rumors still circulate in Slytherin that he cast a curse on Daphne.
I'm afraid that after today, the rumors about him will only get worse and worse.
after all.
He really does know how to curse.
"Prior Incantato!"
What's meant to happen will happen.
Dean Flitwick cast the Pre-Flashback Charm on his wand.
Ian was just about to explain.
however.
"What happened? My spell was rejected? How could this happen? No way!" Dean Flitwick, the master of spells, seemed to have encountered a situation he had never expected.
Elderberry, unicorn tail hair.
This magic wand should never have existed in the world.
at this point.
It has shown loyalty to its owner.
