Chapter 706: The Changes.

So, unlike what most mortals and divine beings believe, Dragons are definitely not extinct. In fact, the strongest person in the sea of worlds appears to be a dragon.

One might wonder why the dragon race had become what it had become if they had such a powerful being in their race. But as someone who knows that the Dao Lord of the Four Directions Sect had been instrumental in usurping the power of dragons in the Blessed Heaven World, that is not something he wonders about.

When he thought back to the event of yesteryears, he chuckled and said to himself, ’He wasn’t exactly a dragon anyway. He was a half-dragon, and he was despised by his race. Not that it would have made any difference if he were a real dragon and was loved by his race. He would have done anything to gain power.’

’Speaking of power, now that I have eight Divine Metacs and Divine Positions, all I need to do is upgrade the Four Divine Positions of the Talisman Pathway to rank 8. Then I can use them as ingredients with my other four Divine Metacs to initiate a new pathway.’

Then he smiled and said, ’They made their Divine Positions into a hollow facsimile of what a Divine Position is to make it difficult for people to use them to create their own pathway, but that can’t stop me.’

’Once I upgrade them to rank 8, I will use all of them to create the Name of All Things. Then I will use the Name of All Things as the foundation of the Name Pathway. I know their real names, so this is the right tool to use to deal with them.

He is truly confident about the success of his plan. After all, five Divine Positions are the minimum requirement needed to initiate a new pathway, but he has 8 Divine Positions.

Half of these eight Divine Positions are also complete Divine Positions without any fault. And he knows how to make up for the weakness in the other half that is faulty.

The second difference that he noticed was that Nether Flame was happy to see him. This change was unexpected, and it made Loki wary.

When Nether Flame saw him, the blacker than soot death cultivator smiled and said, "You’re finally here. That is great."

His behavior was odd to Loki since Nether Flame was either unhappy to see him or indifferent to his presence. So he asked, saying, "Why is it great to see me?"

Nether Flame asked in return, "Isn’t it obvious?

In response, Loki shook his head and said, "No, it is not obvious."

So Nether Flame shrugged and said, "Your presence here is good for the mission. I’ve been waiting for more than 40 years now. Your presence means I don’t have to wait anymore, and we can go ahead with the mission."

What he said was reasonable, but Loki still used the Power Identification Ability to make sure that this Nether Flame was the one he was used to and not someone else pretending to be Nether Flame.

This made him roll his eyes inwardly and think, ’He said that he was happy because he saw me, but it is most likely the advancement of his rank 6 Divine Metac to rank 7 and the increase to his Will Stat that’s putting him in a good mood.’

’But can he combine the power of all three Divine Metacs? Doesn’t he need the mastery of the pathway at the level of Great Grandmaster to combine and use three Divine Metacs for an ultimate move?’

’If he can really combine the three of them together, then he would have the right to advance to rank 8 and the qualifications to use rank 8 Metacs. All he needs to advance now will be some divine merit points. As it turns out, he is already in the process of acquiring it.’

’If I am right and Nether Flame can now advance to rank 8, it is no wonder he is in a good mood.
