Chapter 4: Curtains and Leaves

Chapter 4: Curtains and Leaves

Chapter 4: Curtains and LeavesIn the middle of the night, Remiel suddenly woke up due to a certain buzzing sound in his ears.

No matter what he did, it wouldn’t go away, which pissed him off to no extent.

In frustration, he tried pulling up the curtains when he suddenly realized something.

If the city started

’Heh. People find others sleeping unsightly.’ Remiel mocked others and even his own former family to a certain extent, because even if it was never reported, he knew it was completely plausible that the royal family had done something similar many times.

It truly was a crazy world they lived in.

"Why are you wearing banana leaves, though?" Another officer joined in on their conversation, very curious about his ’attire’.

"It’s breezy like this."

Remiel immediately made yet another snarky comment towards them, making a few people around him chuckle.

"Tsk!" The targeted officer clicked his tongue in annoyance, clearly not liking the joke. "Anyways, you cannot wear this and roam around here."

"I have nothing else to wear, though." Remiel shrugged, as he wasn’t lying either.

The officer peeked behind him, seeing if he was telling the truth or not, and to his surprise, the guy in front of him had no other possessions with him.

"Hah!" The officer scrunched his nose, calling his superior with his hands. "Where do these clowns even come from?"

As the superior of the officer arrived and heard the situation, he couldn’t help but size Remiel up.

No matter how he looked at this, it was very clear that he was mentally unstable.

"Hello. I am Sergeant Roland, and I heard rather interesting stuff from my officer. I will ask again: Do you really not have any clothes apart from these leaves?" The rough-looking sergeant glared straight into his eyes.

Remiel shrugged yet again, shaking his head in denial.

"Do we have something in the car?" Roland asked his officers for this, clearly not wanting to deal with the hassle.

But to no one’s surprise, nobody had any spare clothes with them.

They were on-duty cops, not some social workers.

Hmm!

"Ask around if someone has anything to spare for him." He ordered, as he focused back on the strange guy.

"Take that leaf off your face."
