Chapter 1327: Sneaking around at night

After that banquet, one might think that everything would be quiet because no one wanted to create any misunderstandings.

But that wasn’t the case as there were people that were moving through the night.

However, the ones that were moving through the night were not demons.

Rather, it was my group that was moving through the night.

We had been snuck out of the castle by Elizabeth’s arrangements.

That was the favour that I asked of her.

As for the place that we were heading, it was to the place that the orbs had been mined from.

This place was very close to the demon queen’s castle. In fact, it turned out that the demon king had only built this castle after finding that item and made sure that the castle would be as close to the mine as possible.

So we didn’t even have to use the wyverns to head over there.

This was good since the wyverns were just too big and would attract a lot of attention. Not to mention that people would certainly know that whatever the matter was, it would involve us since we were the only ones that could move the wyverns.

We headed there in a carriage that Elizabeth prepared.

Other than the castle, there were also many different houses and shops that were built around this area. It wasn’t built in a way that would be considered a city, but rather it was built in a way where it was built when needed.

"I think that there are ways that we can cooperate with each other. Such as opening brothels for these succubi to work in. As long as it’s consensual, I think that it would work."

Elizabeth raised a brow when she heard this before saying, "Are you already getting ready to cheat on your wives?"

With a cough, I said, "I never said that I would personally go there. I was just saying that it would be a good way for humans and demons to cooperate in the future. Demons need to find their place in human society and it’s our duty to help them find those places."

Elizabeth narrowed her eyes to look at me. I could see the traces of doubt that were in her eyes, but I kept a calm look on my face as I looked right back at her.

Eventually she said with a nod, "That’s right, since the war is over, there are many things that we as demons can’t do anymore. But we still have to make a living, so it’s best if we find new ways to make a living."

Then with a sigh, she said, "However, we know too little about the human world and what human society is like."

With a suggestive look, she continued, "If only we had someone that knew about humans and demons that could help us think of ways for the demon race to make a living in the human world."

Shaking my head with a faint smile, I said, "I’ll do what I can. I’ll take a look tomorrow along with the mines and come up with some ideas. I hope that you will not mind if I can’t think of too many things."

A smile appeared on Elizabeth’s face again as she said, "Of course not. We are just grateful that you would help us."

The two of us talked a bit longer until we were out of the city.

As for why we were silent, we were both looking out the window at the large mountain that was in front of us.

This was the mine that we were planning to visit, the place where those orbs that held the corruption energy came from.
