It seemed like the tide of the battle had changed and the humans would be able to catch their breath, but that wasn't what happened in the end.
It wasn't as if the demons would back down just because the humans caught their breath a bit. The demons had things that they had saved as trump cards that they didn't use yet.
After all, it wasn't as if the humans were the only ones that the demons wanted to deal with in the first place.
After the humans were taken out, the demons still had to fight against the other races of the continent.
It was the same for the human race to a certain extent.
They also had the same consideration to think about, even if they didn't actually have to fight any of the other races after this war with the demons was over.
However, they at least had to preserve some strength so that they would be able to deal with whatever came after this. They were especially on guard against the other races of the continent since they would certainly make a move if they saw that the human race was weakened.
That was just the kind of world this was.
That meant that since the demons were being pushed back, they might start using some of those trump cards.
As expected, it was something that had already happened.
Once the humans started to gain the upper hand, there were several of the demons that were filled with corruption energy that came together.
The moment that they did, there was a strange thing that happened where the corruption energy inside of them came to the surface of their bodies. This corruption energy just completely surrounded them before reaching out from the surface of their bodies.
With the way that it reached out, it was as if it was grabbing at something.
Eventually, the corruption energy in the demons reached each other and started to pull them towards each other.
This one was an asura just like the one that we had fought previously, it was just that this one didn't seem as strong as the one from before.
This one didn't create weapons of corruption energy, there were demons that came over with large weapons for this asura.
As soon as we approached, we immediately started raining down attacks on this asura.
The asura did what it could to block these attacks, but the weapons that it had just weren't strong enough for that. When it blocked the flame breaths and spells that fell down on it, the weapons were shattered to pieces.
The only reason it was able to block these attacks in the end was because of the corruption energy that appeared on the skin of this large asura.
The corruption energy seemed to form a shield that healed the large asura when it was injured.
It was different from the other asura, but it was still a way of fighting.
After the first round of attacks, the asura grabbed the demons that were around it with its six arms and threw them up into the air at us. We were able to dodge them with our mobility, but those demons did what they could to attack us.
They threw their weapons and used their racial traits to attack.
It was just that they were completely out of their domain since they were in the air.
For wyverns that ruled the air, it was easy to dodge these demons and kill them all.
The only problem was that these were demons that were also imbued with corruption energy, so they didn't die that easily.
Or it would have been the case if not for the fact that there was a way to deal with these
demons.
Just a simple covering of mist was enough to purify these demons.
