Picking Up Attributes In Martial World

Chapter 178: Perfect Couple

Chapter 178: Perfect Couple

Ye Jun was happy to argue with Song Liangxue, even though it was just some banter. It represented their bond and showed how much he meant to her.

After seeing memories of both lives again, he was once again reminded how blessed he was to have this life where he had lovers like Meihui and Song Liangxue.

And he was going to treasure every moment with them.

After he finished drinking everything in one go, he wiped his mouth with his sleeve and asked, "How did you progress so rapidly?"

"You can say it was my desperation," Song Liangxue said, shifting to sit beside him on the bed. "I knew you’d progress fast, so I had to do my best to keep standing by your side."

"As if it’s that easy to surpass you!"

"Talent without hard work means nothing," Song Liangxue leaned on his shoulder and said with a smile. "The second reason was my desire to be with you, so I was cultivating to reach the stage where we can have sex."

"You really are blunt," Ye Jun chuckled softly.

Unlike the modern world, this world was still very conservative... which was quite weird to him... but it also meant women weren’t supposed to talk about sex so openly.

"Who cares about modesty?" Song Liangxue kissed his cheeks slowly and said. "I have desires and I’ll make you know of them. I’ve heard that lack of communication creates many misunderstandings between couples and I don’t want that."

Ye Jun wrapped his hand around her slender waist and smiled. "And that’s what I love about you. I also will be direct with you."

"Tsk! I already know your desires, pervy darling," Song Liangxue whispered softly in his ears. "You just want many women on your bed."

Ye Jun felt a chill run down his spine. Her melodious voice, which alone was enough to seduce him, was whispering such things in his ears. How could his body not react to it?

He quickly tried to pin her down but she was swift as the wind and escaped his clutches. Standing up from the bed, she shook her fingers. "No, no. We can’t do it yet."

"You’re one dangerous woman," Ye Jun said with a wry smile. "Starting fires with no intention of putting them out."

"That I am." She flipped her hair and smiled. "But I have to thank you for my advancement."

"Me?" He blinked in confusion. "Did my Tribulation Clouds do something?"

"No, but I did sense them," Song Liangxue explained. "You see, Aunt is ordered not to leave my side at any cost, but I told her that if something happens to you, she should leave me. I sensed her leaving, so I knew something was wrong, and then the Tribulation came."

She stared into his eyes and smiled. "My cultivation technique was erasing my emotions, especially since I was pushing myself too hard and that was dangerous. But when I thought of you being in danger, something broke in my heart and all emotions came rushing back. The desperation to save you did that."

She patted her chest and added, "That was when I achieved a breakthrough in my cultivation technique and advanced to Origin Core Realm. I might have advanced regardless, but it would have taken time and my emotions."

Ye Jun couldn’t react for a second, but then got out of his bed and pulled her into his embrace. He kissed the top of her head and said, "I’m the luckiest man alive to receive so much love."

"You should be," Song Liangxue whispered back, wrapping her hands around him. "I don’t even understand when I fell for you this hard. But I guess it’s because I do everything to the extreme, so love is also included in that."

Ye Jun chuckled and said, "I also have to thank you, by the way. Without you and Meihui, I wouldn’t have survived the trials. This life you all gave me... it saved me from the horrors of Memory Trials."

She looked up and smiled. "We really are the perfect couple, even helping while not being present."

"Oh, we definitely are." Ye Jun said with full honesty. "The most important thing that happened in my life."

"Hehe," she giggled, which came as a surprise to him as she usually didn’t do it. "Speaking of Meihui, don’t you want to meet her too? You both passed out in each other’s arms."

"Ah! That reminds me, what happened to her? Why was she so exhausted? Wait, is her secret out too?" Ye Jun quickly thought of a dozen things, his heart full of worry.

"Relax. Everything is fine."

Then, Song Liangxue explained everything that happened during the time he was Ascending. How the White Gale Pavilion was now basically surrounded by hills of Spiritual Beasts and most of them were killed by Song Ying.

Ye Jun was once again reminded of how weak he was in the grand scheme of things. So many of those Spiritual Beasts could have killed him easily and yet an army of them didn’t pose a threat to Song Ying.

And she wasn’t even among the most powerful people in the world. Only Ruler Realm cultivators counted among them, especially since he guessed there were more realms above it.

Apparently, Song Liangxue also killed many of them during the time Song Ying was dealing with some other Tier 5 Spiritual Beasts. After all, those required her full attention, so Song Liangxue also helped along with the Elders of the White Gale Pavilion.

"It was a good practice session to get familiar with my new strength. I loved it, so I have to thank you for it too. Thank you so much, hubby."

He could only smile dryly at that. Only someone like her would consider it a training session. If they had failed, the whole White Gale Pavilion would have ceased to exist.

Still, she didn’t seem to care about it and continued to explain. He was surprised to know that Meihui had actually confessed already during his Ascension, that she was scared for him and almost jumped to tackle the Purple Tribulation for him.

"Is she crazy?" Ye Jun exclaimed in shock. "That would have killed her. There was no other outcome. That stupid girl... I’ll have to talk to her about this. How can she be so reckless?"

"Hmm, the trials have definitely affected you," Song Liangxue said, glancing at him. "You’re showing more emotions than usual and also seem to lack brain. Great outcome."

He rolled his eyes at her. "It’s just that my rational side is too exhausted after dealing with the madness of one Trial, so my emotional side is taking over."

She tilted her head to the side, obviously confused by his ramblings.

"Forget about it. I’ll explain some other day."

She shrugged and said, "Then back on topic, yes she’s crazy... crazy in love with you. If I have to say, even though I hate it, she loves you more than me."

"Don’t compare," he lightly chopped her on the head. "There’s nothing more or less when it comes to love."

"The society begs to differ," she smiled. "Also, don’t act like you wouldn’t have done something similar for her... or me. It’s just that she’s way more emotional so she didn’t even consider the consequences. She just wanted you safe."

"Can’t argue against that..." He sighed.

"Indeed. Also, the reason she’s so exhausted is because she used a Peak-Grade Tier 6 Artefact to protect you and also give you the best of the Tribulation."

"So, both of my wives actually did so much for me," Ye Jun said. "What a lucky man I am."

"Now, even I’m jealous of you."

"My, my, unfortunately you can’t take my place."

"I actually can," Song Liangxue replied, as if it was the most obvious thing. "My Clan has very good transformation techniques so I can change into you, not to mention we also have Forbidden Arts such as Soul Swapping."

Ye Jun was speechless and a bit horrified. "...why do you have all those?"

"Because they’re pretty useful."

He couldn’t argue against that, but they still were very terrifying.

’Forbidden for a reason.’

"Where is she now?" He asked.

"Sleeping peacefully in the side room," she said. "Shouldn’t be for long considering it’s mostly just mental exhaustion and she’s actually stronger than me."

"What do you think her cultivation is?"

She frowned a bit. "She hides it well, but if I have to guess then at least Middle Stages of Earth Rank. Still ridiculous considering her age is definitely twenty-four."

"She definitely has some scary background," he sighed. "About her secret..."

"It isn’t out," she smiled and said. "Only a few Elders saw her actions and I’ve already had their memories erased, so it won’t be a problem."

"You can do that too?"

"I can’t, but my people can," she shrugged. "Can’t take risks, can we? What if someone who knows how to read memories checked theirs?"

"Fair enough. It’s actually a great idea."

"Shall we go meet her then?"

Ye Jun took a deep breath and then smiled. "Yes."
