Chapter 2148 The Dashavatara (Rama, Varaha) -Part 16
Chapter 2148 The Dashavatara (Rama, Varaha) -Part 16
Only when it came closer to him, did Rama understand that there were actually Sea Demons and Deep Ones hiding in between the Serpent Tentacles. With their help, they were able to utilise the System to open up multiple dimensional portals and enable the quick redirection of the arrows right towards Kurma.
After which, the Demon Sea Octopus did not give any quarters as he quickly turned the Serpent Tentacles into more like a living spear at their tips. Meanwhile, the sides of those tentacles were cannons that the Deep Ones and Sea Demons were holding close to it and started to pilot them and shoot Rama indiscriminately.
Without the Immovable Foundation's barriers protecting Rama, he started to dodge the attacks while conjuring up divine barriers to defend himself from the rampant attacks. But unlike the barriers that Kurma could cast, Rama's defences shattered at the indiscriminate might of the Demon Sea Octopus who had now fused with the forbidden cosmic horrors into itself.

The void energies it brought out were more than sufficient to strip Rama bare of his defences. And thus, the only way to keep himself alive was to retaliate as quickly as possible. He shot out his arrows in hopes of destroying all of the cannons and guns that had been fused with serpent tentacles.
However, the System was still actively assisting the fight by creating portals to take in those divine slaying arrows.
And this time, its target was Varaha, the Celestial Boar. Not knowing the situation, the arrows pierced through his body and it made it felt as if Rama had knowingly betrayed the Dashavatara. It was only when Varaha saw the multiple portals appearing right above him that he understood it was the enemies' work.
"Why not all of them?" Rama clicked his tongue in anger and scratched his bow to make a slight screeching sound on the metal. At that point, he raised his bow to the sky before releasing a large burst of arrows in the middle of it all.
Like a quick shower of rain, those arrows turned direction the movement they reached a certain angle, swiftly moving towards their targets while Rama turned and aimed at them again.
This time, the front of the bow was suddenly energised with a giant orb of energy which he shot it out without any care. So, for the Blade Mages, they have to contend with the arrows from above and a gigantic orb which they have no way to escape in time because of the proximity and speed of it.
Yet, all of them smiled because the Blade Mages in Lyro were trained not just in close combat warfare but also underwater warfare. With a timely telepathy signal from the Sea Hunters, they instantly change their movement, diving into the sea like dolphins upon leaping out of the water and sped right under the orb. At that moment, Rama had forgotten they were fighting above water and beyond land.
The fiery divine arrows were burnt or merged with the gigantic energy orb that Rama had shot out, providing the necessary cover the Blade Mages needed before they emerged out for the kill.
Rama did not have time to defend with his melee weapons and he incurred additional damage as he tried to block with just his bow. He attempted to self detonate with another energy orb but the Blade Mages came from all directions, surrounding Rama in 360 degrees and plunging their Anti Celestial Blades right into every flesh the blades could come into contact with.
It was truly an ugly sight to behold as the humans risked their lives to kill a god for their city's collective survival.
