Chapter 114 Extraordinary Gathering
After saying that, Altair walked to the door of the ordinary residential house and knocked on the door three times.
After Altair knocked, it didn't take long for a hooded waiter wearing a Moreta mask to open the door from the inside.
Upon seeing Altair and the others' attire, the masked waiter slightly turned to the side and gestured for them to proceed.
Altair followed the waiter's lead and naturally entered the residential house. Audrey, trailing behind them, forgot her ladylike manners in her excitement and urged Grelint softly, "Hurry, hurry."
As soon as she finished speaking, Audrey remembered her identity and realized her lapse in composure. She softly explained to Grelint, "I didn't mean to be disgusted... I meant I didn't mean to rush you. I... I was just a little anxious. I'm so sorry, Grelint."
"It's alright," Grylint replied to Audrey with a smile.
He added, "Audrey, I completely understand how you feel right now."
"Because we are all the same."
After explaining, Grelint went through the door first, followed closely by Audrey.
After the two entered the gate, the masked waiter standing to the side closed the gate.
The masked waiter picked up two slips of paper from the door locker and handed them to the two men.
After seeing what the waiter handed them, Grelint and Audrey looked puzzled. Altair, seeing this, explained to them, "This note contains the rules for this gathering, how to participate, and the next gathering."
After listening to Altair's explanation, the two nodded slightly, indicating that they understood.
But perhaps due to their aristocratic upbringing, even though Gretel and Audrey were eager to learn about the Extraordinary Gathering, they did not open the letter in public.
The waiter standing to the side, after hearing that Altair had already explained it to the two of them, gave up the idea of explaining it further.
He took two steps back into the aisle and gestured for everyone to follow him.
After walking a few steps, the three of them were led by a waiter to a very spacious and brightly lit hall.
The spacious hall was laid out like a normal reception room, except for the addition of sofas, chairs, and a rather conspicuous blackboard.
A dozen or so people dressed in different ways sat scattered around, waiting for the party to begin.
After a casual glance, Altair found a suitable three-person seat in the southeast corner of the hall.
The three had barely sat down when Gretel and Audrey, unable to contain their curiosity, opened the note the waiter had given them and began to examine it.
"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to my humble abode for this extraordinary gathering."
"Please remember that this extraordinary gathering will not charge any fees before or after the transaction, except for notarization."
"For the safety of everyone, tea, drinks, snacks, and other similar items will not be provided to everyone. Of course, if you have your own, please do not force others to share; violators will be punished."
"If you have a long-term need for a certain material or item, you can ask the waiter for a slip of paper and register it on the blackboard in front of you, or you can register it on the blackboard yourself."
"If you would like to attend the next Extraordinary Gathering, please visit Om Messiah's Mechanics on Vlad Street in the East End or Circe's Herbalist on Blythe Street in the Riverside between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM next Tuesday to obtain the location of the next gathering."
"There's no cost to securing a meeting place, but if you like any items in the shop, you can buy them yourself."
After reading the note, Gretel and Audrey asked Altair curiously, "Why are both acquisition points in the East District? Why isn't there one in the Queens District? There should at least be one in the West District."
"Because they're poor," Altair replied without hesitation, explaining, "Wild Extraordinary beings are all poor."
After Altair finished speaking, it was 8:30.
Simon, wearing a black round-faced mask, appeared in the center of the hall as promised and said, "I didn't expect so many new people to join this gathering."
"Then let me introduce myself first."
"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. You may call me Beast or Mr. Beast, it doesn't matter to me—"
"I have been invited by the host of this extraordinary gathering to attend this gathering as a notary."
As he spoke, Simon raised his right hand and used the power of the "Notary Ring" on his hand.
After making a round, he added, "If anyone completed a transaction at this gathering but doesn't trust the other party or wants verification, you can have it notarized by me —"
"Since everyone agrees, I hereby declare this extraordinary gathering officially open."
As Simon finished speaking, a middle-aged man with an unnatural voice announced his request: "I need the heart of a four-eyed green turtle and 20 grams of its shell powder."
Altair was slightly taken aback upon hearing about this material, thinking, "Where did this espionage expert come from? Our own guard doesn't have any extraordinary individuals like this."
"Could he have gotten in through Vivian's connections?"
"That shouldn't be the case~ The Witch Cult and the Gnostic Society shouldn't have the secrets of the potion recipes."
After scanning the room and seeing that no one responded, the middle-aged man stood up and added, "I can buy this material at a premium, or... or if any of you have information about this material, I'm willing to pay a price for it."
After he finished speaking, the middle-aged man sat down dejectedly when he saw that no one was responding to him.
Seeing the man's eager reaction, Grelint, who was sitting not far away, whispered to Altair and Audrey, "I remember having some of this material in my warehouse. Hmm... I mean, I can trade it to him in exchange for some knowledge we need."
After glancing at Audrey, Altair understood her thoughts and then nodded to Greeninger.
After raising her hand to signal a waiter to come over, she said, "My friend here wishes to conduct a transaction with the gentleman from earlier. Could you please arrange a private room for him?"
After hearing the request, the waiter nodded to Greenfield and said, "Please wait a moment."
After the waiter left, Altair turned his gaze back to Grelint and said, "You'll have to go and make the deal by yourself in a bit. Audrey and I will stay outside and look at other trade requests to see if we can get anything else. We won't go in with you."
