Chapter 11: Down this Assassin's Potion
Chapter 11: Down this Assassin's Potion
After a month of reflection, Altair has gained a new understanding of the wealth he possesses.
I knew I was rich, but I never imagined I was this rich!
If you were to pay Mr. World to handle something extraordinary, it's no exaggeration to say that you'd be paying him to "kill gods."
With all that gold, I'd be perfectly fine even if I didn't become an extraordinary one. Now I'm starting to regret collaborating with 'King George III'.
.......
The day after returning to Backlund, the occult teacher Altair arrived as promised.
The warmth of the sunlight on his face made him feel cozy, disrupting his sleep. Half-asleep, Altair instinctively reached for the blanket to pull it over his head. But as his hand touched the blanket, he felt something soft—it felt like…flesh!
The sensation instantly jolted Altair awake, his neck turning slowly like an old, worn-out gear.
A woman is looking at herself!
Altair's immediate thought was to take a deep breath and prepare to scream: "Help! Murder! Assassin!"
Unfortunately, even though that's what I thought, I couldn't make a sound when I tried to speak.
The girl, whose identity was unknown, then pressed herself against Altair and said, "Hello, little Kexin, I'm your occult teacher. If you calm down, nod, and I'll lift your silencing spell."
After hearing what the girl said, Altair felt relieved and nodded gently.
The girl snapped her fingers, and Altair began to gasp for breath.
His actions caused the girl's face to flush and smile.
"You can call me Vivian Laurent. I will guide you on your journey to becoming an Extraordinary. I look forward to your guidance from now on."
Once Altair had calmed down completely, he saw that there was indeed a person sitting on him, who was reaching out to shake his hand.
Altair said apologetically, "Could you get up first? It's very inconvenient for me like this."
The girl didn't seem to remember and said, "That won't do."
Altair could only helplessly extend his left hand and complete the handshake in an extremely bizarre manner.
Altair thought that after the handshake was over, she would get up, but to her surprise, the latter simply lay down and said, "Lie with me a little longer."
Altair said helplessly, "I want to go to the restroom."
........
"Okay, fine."
"But you have to come back later."
Altair felt a chill run down his spine when he looked at the 'girl' who was holding him.
Once she was released, she immediately got up and left her warm bed.
Entering the bathroom, I was internally cursing. What was going on?! I had imagined meeting the witch in all sorts of ways, but even with my wildest imagination, I never thought it would be like this... And why was this bathroom located in my room?!
Inside the bathroom, Altair mentally ranted about everything he could think of.
Then he could only face reality, wash his hands, and walk out of the restroom.
As soon as he closed the bathroom door and looked at his bed, he saw Vivian smiling at him, and she even pulled up a corner of the blanket, gesturing for him to get into bed.
Thinking to myself, "Why do I feel like I'm the one who's getting the short end of the stick!"
Altair could only shake his head helplessly, walked over and said, "I'm not in the mood to sleep anymore, can I not lie down?"
Looking at Altair's expression, Vivian knew that she couldn't get him to lie down with her.
Then he got up and walked directly to Altair, saying, "This is really boring, little darling. It seems I need to teach you some other things, such as how to please a woman and, most importantly, how not to refuse an invitation to bed."
Seeing this girl, draped in a sheer veil, standing before him and uttering such words, Altair felt his blood surge.
"Come with me." After saying this, Vivian turned and walked towards the study.
As Vivian left, Altair saw through her stunning figure.
Altair followed, and when she entered the study and went to her desk, she opened a package and took out various materials stored in bottles and jars.
Seeing what Vivian took out, Altair knew that she was going to prepare a potion for him, and he stepped forward.
Vivian, sensing the person standing behind her, said directly, "I just asked you to sleep with me a little longer, but you wouldn't. Now you're secretly watching me. You're really something. Haven't you received any enlightenment yet?"
Hearing Vivian's teasing, Altair was speechless. He thought to himself, "Before I transmigrated, I was a college student who had just graduated and had never had a girlfriend. Now I'm just a 15-year-old kid. How could I possibly have a chance?"
He casually remarked, "Are you trying to concoct a magic potion?"
When Vivian heard Altair's answer, which wasn't the answer to the question she had asked, she already knew, and laughed, "That's right, the Sequence Nine potion of the Assassin's Path, 'Assassin'."
"The only way for humans to gain extraordinary abilities is by taking magic potions."
"The potion is made by mixing main ingredients and auxiliary ingredients with pure water. A little more or less of the auxiliary ingredients doesn't have a big impact, but the main ingredients must be strictly controlled."
"Assassin Sequence 9 main materials, made from: the roots of the Shadow Poison Flower and the black feathers of the Serpent Bird."
"Additional materials: 100 ml of concentrated vinegar, three petals of the Shadow Poison Flower, 10 drops of buttercup essential oil, and one live spider."
"Okay, I've finished putting together the outfit."
"I specially collected these raw materials for you."
Altair looked at the glass in front of him, a dull, unremarkable liquid that inexplicably made him thirsty.
Hearing Vivian's words reminded him of an essential piece of knowledge about extraordinary traits: "Others' extraordinary traits can also be used as the main material."
"Let me explain to you first that there are some things you need to be careful about when you take the potion."
"After taking the potion, begin meditating as soon as possible to control your spirituality and power. You should already know about meditation; it involves imagining something that doesn't actually exist and then depicting it."
Altair glanced at the cup in Vivian's hand, thought for a moment, and then took it.
"I have to have a drink no matter what, whether I drink it early or late!"
He drank the potion in one gulp. It wasn't as bad as he had imagined; it even tasted like water with very little other flavor. But the liquid wasn't quite water either; it was thicker than water, and if he had to describe it, it felt like a large chunk of undissolved honey.
As the potion entered his esophagus through his mouth, Altair felt as if his body had consumed some kind of highly nourishing substance.
Colorful spots of light and mist began to appear before my eyes.
"Alter began to meditate, taking control of his spirituality and power, and began to depict something that did not exist in reality."
After hearing the reminder, Altair began his meditation, completely entering a state of oneness with nature, and his mind gradually calmed down.
