Chapter 45 Kingpin, oh, you're my dad!
Chapter 45 Kingpin, oh, you're my dad!
"Stop arguing, you bunch of useless trash! That guy got away, go after him!"
The group only realized what was happening after the woman shouted a curse.
"Oh fucking, if I catch you, I'll definitely make you suffer!"
"Chase!"
Immediately, the group chased after Mark in the direction he had fled.
Within a minute, they had completely lost sight of Mark.
Mark peeked out from the bar on the street corner and watched the group leave before finally letting out a sigh of relief.
"Phew~ No, they're the ones who should be running." Mark realized.
Just then, a woman in a bikini approached Mark's table enthusiastically. "Sir, what would you like to drink?"
She handed the wine list to Mark.
Mark looked around and found the bar to be relatively quiet, with stylish music and decor.
He glanced at the wine list, his pupils dilated in shock, and he abruptly stood up.
"Sorry, I went to the wrong place."
He was about to leave when the woman stopped him.
She smiled and said, "Sir, someone will pay for you."
As she spoke, she looked up towards the second floor.
Mark followed the other person's gaze to the second floor, where he saw a familiar figure waving at him.
"Hey buddy, we meet again," Wade said, raising his glass in a gesture of greeting.
Mark smiled slightly upon seeing this.
Sure enough, this guy must be a Spider-Man fan.
However, the next second, a small hill appeared behind Wade.
His bulky figure and signature bald head immediately reminded Mark of a certain guy.
His target this time is Kingpin!
Are they in cahoots?
Mark frowned.
He had just told Wade that he wanted to take down Hell's Kitchen.
This guy betrayed himself as soon as he turned around.
Damn it, I'm going to say a lot of bad things about you to Peter.
Now that his purpose had been exposed, Mark no longer hesitated.
He activated his skill and leaped onto the second floor.
"Wade Wilson, I'll remember you." He glared at the other man.
Wade shrugged. "Sorry, I was hired by Mr. Kingpin this time. He paid me too much. If I didn't tell him, it would make me seem unprofessional."
"You bitch."
"Thank you for the compliment."
"Damn it!"
Mark cursed, then looked at Kingpin, who was dressed in a white suit.
"I'm here to kill you."
He slowly clenched his fist, which shimmered with a sacred light.
Upon seeing this, Kingpin's cold face broke into a slight smile.
He paid no attention to Mark's hostility and turned to sit on the specially made oversized sofa.
He rested his hands on the green gemstone scepter and said in a deep, muffled voice:
"Little one, let's have a chat."
Wade chimed in on Mark's behalf, "Yes, you two should talk. He's very rich."
"Get out of here."
Mark pushed Wade away without hesitation.
He looked Kingpin straight in the eye and said, "I heard you can take down Spider-Man with one punch."
Kingpin was somewhat surprised. "Who told you that?"
"This is your setting."
"Hehe, little guy, you're very humorous."
Kingpin didn't understand Mark's words and just took it as a child's joke.
He gestured for the waiter to bring him drinks.
"I don't have any superpowers, so I don't have the power to defeat Spider-Man," he laughed.
"Then I'm relieved."
Mark glanced at the wine glass the waiter handed him.
It must be very expensive.
He accepted Kingpin's offer without hesitation.
"Before you finish this drink, have you thought about how you want to die?" He still didn't give Kingpin a friendly look.
Kingpin chuckled. "What reason would you have to kill me?"
"You bullied Ben and Mei."
"Yes, they are your family, I understand."
Kingpin shrugged. "Then I can apologize."
mark:"........"
"Are you really Kingpin?" His eyes were full of suspicion.
Could this guy be a stand-in?
Kingpin nodded. "No one would dare impersonate me here. You should understand."
"and you......"
Mark thought for a moment, "You're being so reasonable, I feel a little embarrassed."
He's not some kind of superhero, and he wouldn't have risked coming to Hell's Kitchen if Ben and May hadn't been bullied.
They certainly wouldn't face Kingpin.
Although he believed he had the power to defeat Kingpin.
After all, not every Kingpin in every universe can defeat Spider-Man with a single punch.
Mark couldn't believe his luck could be so bad.
But now, he finds his luck seems excessively good.
The Kingpin of this universe is a little different.
He began to take the supervillain in front of him seriously.
"I'll forgive you if you pay me ten times the amount," Mark said.
Kingpin nodded. "No problem."
Although he didn't know why, he still agreed.
He hasn't paid attention to his businesses for a long time.
Seeing Kingpin so readily agree, Mark felt increasingly uneasy.
"What do you want me to do?" he asked directly.
Jin didn't hide it either.
"I heard you know Spider-Man."
"I don't know him."
"Mr. Wilson said you know him."
"I lied to him."
Mark glanced at Wade and couldn't help but curse, "You bastard."
Wade watched as Mark crossed his legs and enjoyed his whiskey, completely oblivious to his disdain.
Money is the only real thing; nothing else matters.
Kingpin simply smiled slightly upon hearing Mark's reply.
"That would be even better."
He looked at the dark figure behind him and waved his hand, saying, "You can leave now."
After he finished speaking, several dark figures flashed by and disappeared from the room in an instant.
Mark then noticed these guys.
As expected of the underground emperor, his men are quite interesting.
His original plan was to fight if he could win, and run if he couldn't.
He was very confident in his escape skills.
But now it seems that it is no longer necessary.
"What's good about it?" he asked the other person.
Kingpin said, "It's a good thing that you have nothing to do with Spider-Man."
After all, I hated Spider-Man the moment I saw him on TV.
I hate his arrogance. He thinks he's a hero, but he's just a pathetic wretch, an unknown evil.
He looked at Mark, "But I liked you the moment I saw you, do you know why?"
Upon hearing this, Mark immediately became alert.
Kingpin realized the other person had misunderstood, so he explained, "You're a lot like my son. When he was alive, he also liked to cosplay as a cowboy in the West."
mark:"!!!!"
This is the Witcher set!
He didn't explain, he just breathed a sigh of relief.
"Your reasoning is absurd," he said.
Kingpin nodded. "Yes, a little, but if he were still alive, he'd be about your age."
He looked at Mark's young face and took an old photograph out of his pocket.
The little boy in the photo is very cute, and his eyebrows and eyes resemble Mark's somewhat.
Kingpin sighed with regret:
"He always thought I was a bad person, but he was still young and didn't understand that adults have many things they have to do and can't not do."
Mark nodded. "In your circle, you can't survive without fighting, that's absolutely true."
"Without fighting, there is no survival..."
Kingpin repeated this phrase over and over, and his dejected eyes gradually regained their light.
"Haha, very good, little guy, what's your name?" He seemed to have made a decision.
"Mark Parker".
"Very well, Mark Parker, become my son!"
Kingpin stood up, his eyes burning with fervor.
"Become my son, and the future of my underground kingdom will be yours; you will have everything!"
mark:"!!!!"
The next second, enraged, he jumped onto the table, pointed at Kingpin's nose, and cursed.
"I'm your father!"
Kingpin: "........"
