Whether it was because the Jade Dragon was hiding in its lair, accessible only through an underwater tunnel, and couldn't hear the dragon roars from the sky, or because it chose to ignore Casalos's provocation, the battle didn't immediately begin. Casalos could only descend to low altitude and fly along the coast, carefully examining what appeared to be traces of the Jade Dragon's activity.
The Jade Dragons are an extremely peculiar bunch—in fact, due to their long-term residence in the Inner Realm and the erosion caused by elemental forces, all the Gem Dragons are abnormally distorted. Under the influence of their innate mental power, this distortion has even begun to manifest in their forms. Distorted appearance seems to be a common characteristic of those who use mental power—the Jade Dragons' distortion is the most pronounced even among Gem Dragons, bordering on pathological.
They are aquatic subspecies of true dragons, possessing an innate ability to inhabit underwater, yet they utterly despise water. At the same time, they insist on settling on the coast, hiding the entrance to their nests underwater, and each time they enter or leave, they immerse themselves in the water they so vehemently hate, before uttering vicious curses…
Although they are selfish, they are not evil or malicious, and they rarely launch attacks. When faced with intruders who are not metal dragons, they prefer to negotiate before engaging in conflict. However, during negotiations, they tend to use extremely harsh words to express their "hostility," to the point that all conversations turn into conflicts.
If someone can tolerate their eccentric temperament, they can actually become reliable and powerful allies.
Of course, this does not apply to the narrow definition of metallic dragons, that is, the five subspecies of gold, silver, and bronze dragons.
Jade Dragon harbors an inexplicable and intense hatred for metal dragons—Cassaloz believes this is also a distorted hatred born from historical issues left over from the Age of Dragons, which has evolved over the long course of time. The specific reasons are long gone and no dragon knows them. Perhaps Bahamut, Tiamat, and the gem dragon god Sadewor know the reason, but none of them have any intention of revealing the truth to the true dragons of Faerûn.
The Platinum Dragon God and the Five-Colored Dragon Queen were probably the instigators, so of course they wouldn't self-destruct. As for why the Gem Dragon God Sadewo was unwilling to reveal the truth to his people, that remains unknown.
Clearly, even the Emerald Dragon, which is also a gem dragon, cannot tolerate the presence of a Topaz Dragon in its territory.
Casalos soon experienced Huang Yulong's harshness.
"Hey, where did this brat from the Iron Dragon come from, born of a mother but raised without one? His whole family was killed by those flower lizards, and instead of going back to collect his mother's body, he's running around on my turf wailing and mourning?"
The dragon's language, formed from mental power, silently drifted into Casalos's mind as it flew low, causing a layer of blood red, representing dragon's rage, to creep into its cold, indigo eyes: originally, it only intended to drive away this topaz dragon that had not provoked it to complete its mission, but now it had no choice but to fight it to the death.
The taunts continued, but an unnamed prophetic elder aboard the Iron Dawn sent a precise coordinate. Enraged, Casalos ignored the noisy telepathic messages, climbed, turned sharply, folded his wings, and swooped down toward the cliff marked with the coordinates.
With a deafening roar, rocks flew everywhere, and the thick-skinned Casaloz crashed into the cliff like a cannonball. Behind it was a spacious cavity, where the Jade Dragon Clarks, her face filled with astonishment, was knocked to the ground. This was undoubtedly her lair.
The shock was only temporary. The mature Gem Dragon had experienced no shortage of battles. As it was tackled by Casaroz, which broke through the cliff, the solidified force field membrane covered it, effectively mitigating the impact damage from the Iron Dragon's charge.
Immediately afterwards, an invisible force field, resembling a smooth ice surface, appeared on its fallen back. Using the force of Casalos's pounce, Huang Yulong transformed like an ice hockey puck, quickly escaping the capture range, and then stood up steadily on this smooth force field membrane.
The middle-aged Clarks was much larger than Casalos, even larger than Toona, with a body length of nearly 20 meters, and a much stronger physique, making her look more imposing.
Unlike other dinosaurs, the widest part of the Huangyulong's body is located at the pelvis and the base of its thighs, making its body look somewhat like that of a carnivorous dinosaur with its forelimbs on the ground. The direction of its wing joints is opposite to that of most true dinosaurs; its short, thick upper arms face forward, while its flat and slender upper wing arms extend backward, and its wingtips turn forward again.
Clark lowered her head, her spiraling horns pointing diagonally towards the dome, and uttered a threatening utterance.
Chapter 144
A low murmur. She slightly spread her wings, the main toe bones supporting the wing membrane pointing straight at Casalos like several spears, the inverted wing membrane covering the front like a barrier, the tangible flow of mental power surging on it, causing the floating, sharp topaz thorns to explode radially.
Her scales thickened at a visible rate, her muscles expanded rapidly, and a cloud of mist shimmering with starlight quietly formed behind Casalos.
In the short time it took Casalos to regain his footing, Clarke had already made a thorough battle plan. Although Huang Yulong's agility was also constant at 10, her strange mental abilities gave her an absolute initiative.
Casalos, undeterred by its failed surprise attack, summoned its dragon armor and unleashed the power from its thighs to shatter the ground as it lunged forward again. In mid-air, it twisted its body, stretched its wing membranes, and spread its wings, gathering all its power into its right wing as it swept it horizontally to the left. A moment of disorientation washed over its mind, but it failed to interfere with its movements. Its massive, blade-like dragon wings roared as they smashed through the force field's protective membrane, striking the immobile Jade Dragon Clarke, who was using psionic energy to alter something about herself.
The smooth, hard, continuous, translucent scales burst open, and ripples like water swept across half of the jade dragon's body from the point of impact. After the crest of the wave, the scales and skin cracked and then burst into sparks mixed with blood and jewel-like pieces of flesh.
Clarks staggered to the side, and a strange wave swept over her. The thick scales and skin of Casalos and the same spot where Casalos had been hit by her own wing blade suddenly dented, revealing a large, severe bruise, while the exposed dragon armor remained unharmed.
"Strange psionic energy!"
Cursing under his breath, Casalos landed without stopping his spinning body. His limbs and wings worked together to propel the dragon, and his thick tail swept through the air to the side of the injured and stiffened Jade Dragon.
64. The Dragon's Mercy
Clarks likely possesses a constant psychic ability similar to damage sharing or pain feedback; any damage Casalos inflicts on her will also affect her, and the dragon armor offers no protection against this strange type of damage.
However, Casalos's damage reduction and defense are much stronger than those of a young Jade Dragon, and its physique is no weaker than that of Clarkes. It is not afraid of such a trade of injuries. Gem Dragons have the talent to travel between planes. If Casalos's attack is interrupted even slightly, Clarkes, who has sensed something is wrong, will have the opportunity to cast a spell to escape directly to the inner world. If you want to kill this guy with shit in his mouth, you can't let him catch his breath.
The sweeping whip struck the wound left by the wing slash, the heavy blunt impact shattering the last semi-precious muscle protection of the Jade Dragon, causing her left forearm to fracture and stagger to the ground. Casalos's left limb, from shoulder to wing armpit, was also affected by a long, narrow bruise.
Before her body had even completed a full rotation, Casalos snapped her head back and bit down on the toe of the Jade Dragon that was lunging at her. With her dragon soul surging, she withstood a mental crushing blow that felt like Mount Tai crashing down on her. She then shattered a psionic shockwave that had materialized into ripples with her palm. Her entire body pressed down on the Jade Dragon's forequarters, which had not yet fallen to the ground, forcibly ripping off the bitten toe and tearing apart its wing membrane and wing appendage.
Enduring the tearing pain that shot through his left wing, he seized the opportunity to grab her neck, his sharp hind claws digging into Clarks's belly and kicking out with force, tearing out several bloody wounds. Huang Yulong's internal organs, which were also made of semi-jade, burst out and spilled all over the ground.
Casalos's belly was simultaneously torn open with several shallow wounds. The soft yet tightly bound carbon fiber abdominal armor of the dragon armor acted like a high-pressure bandage, restraining the wounds and preventing them from tearing open and causing further injury during strenuous activity.
But this does not mean that Casalos has gained an absolute advantage.
The power of the mind gathered in Clarks' body, and her intestines, which had spilled all over the ground, wriggled back into her abdominal cavity, and the wound on her belly that had been torn by the dragon's claws healed rapidly.
At the same time, beams of starlight shot out from the tip of her still-movable tail, burning through Casalos's dragon armor on its back and leaving molten craters in its thick metal backplate engraved with magical runes.
The wispy, starlight-like mist solidified, clinging to Casalos's body, burrowing beneath its dragon armor, and slowly draining its life force. Though slow, it was resolute, persistent, and unstoppable.
With its strange damage feedback, Casalos dared not use Dragon Breath to end Clark's life directly. He could only endure the constant bombardment of psionic manifestation spells and the absorption of astral mist. Under the suppression of the grappling, he continued to use his natural weapons such as claws, teeth, wings, and big toes to continuously create bloody wounds on the Jade Dragon, trading injury for injury and slowly depleting her tenacious life and massive psionic points.
At the same spellcasting level, psionic energy is much more troublesome than magic—the key is that Casalos currently has no effective countermeasures against psionic energy.
The primal power, with its blazing flames covering his entire body and extending to his wings, revealed a significant advantage in this war of attrition. While the damage from the low-level blazing flames was minimal, it was completely unaffected by psionic damage feedback; and the disintegration directly destroyed most of the feedback effect. The damage Casalos inflicted on Clarke with his Wing Strike was significantly less when it was reflected back onto his own body compared to other attacks.
If only the pyrolysis had been fully charged sooner… it fantasized, but it was pointless.
It's unclear how long the battle lasted, but Casaroz, encased in his black dragon armor, was covered in wounds. Clarke was finally too weak to retaliate or heal herself. Casaroz had ripped her wings off her body, and the crystalline bone fragments of her limbs were broken off. Her tail was twisted into the shape of a Lego brick, and huge bloody holes had been torn in her chest and abdomen. Half of her internal organs were exposed, covered in Casaroz's burning dragon blood and soil, and they were slowly writhing weakly.
“I didn’t want to kill you…” Enduring the excruciating pain all over his body, Casalos gasped for breath, looking down at the dim pupils of the jade dragon, and whispered.
"Kill me, it's all over, this world means nothing to me." Though her voice was so weak it was almost a buzzing of a fly, Clarks could still reply, "I'm beyond saving. My death should bring some new life to this land..."
Her words represent the prevailing philosophy of life among the Huangyulong clan today. These guys don't know why, but their dragon souls are filled with a sense of world-weariness, leaving only the practice of decay.
Casalos suddenly felt a pang of pity. Like the Athena dragons, the Gem Dragons were also victims of the Holy War between Bahamut and Tiamat. The Topaz Dragon, as the former leader of the Gem Dragons, even if he was only a nominal leader like the Gold Dragons, was nothing more than a sorrowful figure immersed in the irreversible regrets of history.
It sighed and used its ruptured wing toe to plunge into the basal blood vessel in Clark's chest cavity, crushing it. A sharp pain shot through its heart, and the dim flames flowing in Huang Yulong's eyes completely dissipated. The vast yet stagnant dragon magic quickly dissipated, filling the cave and spreading along the cliff opening and the inward passage.
Along with it, Clarke's final days also passed away.
Her chest stopped rising and falling, her heart, half exposed and slowly beating, relaxed after its last contraction and stopped completely. Her internal organs, stained with dragon blood, also stopped wriggling. Her muscles, which should have been soft and semi-precious, instantly hardened, becoming like real gemstones.
Casalos sat on the ground, staring at Clark's corpse for a long time without moving.
As the sun rose at dawn, its golden rays shone into the cave through the opening in the cliff, refracting through the large pieces of topaz into a colorful halo, waking Casalos from his half-asleep state.
It sighed again and summoned a squad of kobold warlocks stationed on the Iron Dawn.
"Go in and search the area, then blow this place up. Be careful not to touch her body. Let her have her wish on this cliff."
Chapter 145
Rest in peace.
Pity is pity, and peace is peace, but the treasure trove must still be plundered. This is the dragon's principle, and even the spirits of the dead dragons would not object to it.
As for the Radiant Queen, Casalos didn't need to provide her with any evidence; she was absolutely certain that Clarke was dead.
Similarly, Casalos would not share any of the spoils of this battle with her. This is also a common principle for dragons. When she chose to "hire" Casalos to solve the problem of Clarkes, she had already tacitly agreed that everything about Clarkes would be under Casalos's control.
65. Treasure
The exploration went smoothly. Perhaps due to her confidence in her own abilities, or perhaps due to Huang Yulong's reclusive and morbid personality, Clarke did not add any effective defenses to her treasure vault. The kobold warlock easily broke through several weak magical traps and "dug out" her treasure—limited to this lair. Casalos will probably never know where Clarke's other lairs are.
This mature yellow jade dragon is far less capable of accumulating wealth than the red dragon. Of course, this may be because its territory completely overlaps with the protected area of an ancient jade dragon. If it wants to obtain any treasures, it has to dig them out with its own claws.
The treasures hidden in the lair by Clarke mainly consisted of gems, pearls, and corals that topaz dragons liked; there wasn't a single piece of magical equipment, so it didn't bring Casalos much of a surprise. The three bronze dragon skulls were of some use.
The bronze dragon head skull can be considered a unique product of the Yellow Jade Dragon Nest.
The Jade Dragon harbors an inexplicable hatred for Metal Dragons, while its preference for habitats is almost identical to that of the Bronze Dragons. This makes it highly likely that the Jade Dragons and Bronze Dragons will engage in deadly conflicts.
Judging from Clarke's strength and physique, the topaz dragons of this world are powerful dragons that have not yet suffered from the unknown degradation of their species. Their strength is second only to red dragons of the same age, and even surpasses that of silver dragons, let alone ordinary bronze dragons. Furthermore, the topaz dragon's attributes and strength are extremely effective against bronze dragons, which are also water-attribute. Given these factors, in an encounter between a topaz dragon and a bronze dragon, the bronze dragon would most likely be the one to suffer a tragic fate.
Unlike the common Western fantasy works popular in Casalos's previous life, the true dragons of the Kingdom of Heaven have unique elemental subspecies attributes, with more than half of their basic body composition being active elemental power.
Whenever a true dragon dies, these active elemental energies quickly dissipate into the surrounding environment, returning to the natural cycle of the elements. The dragon's corpse, lacking this crucial component, will naturally decay and wither rapidly.
Like the body of Jade Dragon Clarke, when Casalos returned from her treasury, the flesh and blood that had transformed into jade after death had completely weathered into gravel, leaving only a crystal-clear skeleton.
However, upon closer inspection, even the jade skeleton has become as fragile as loose sandstone, completely losing the high strength and toughness comparable to a high-alloy material when the dragon was alive.
After Asgrath's offspring died, only a very small amount of "materials" such as dragon teeth, scales, and skin could be used to make items. The dragon bones, which should have been excellent structural materials, could at most be preserved as fragile collectibles or souvenirs.
If we have to talk about practical uses, dragon bones ground into powder are spellcasting materials needed to perform some spells, with metal dragons being the best among them.
However, the "spellcasting materials" of the Kingdom of Heaven are also special. They are more like a kind of strange rule than a necessity to support the generation of spell structures or produce effects. Therefore, it is possible to popularize spellcasting without materials.
Dragons are naturally magical creatures, and in a sense, even the origin of arcane magic in Faerûn. True dragons possess an innate ability to cast spells without materials, so dragon bones have little practical use for Casalos.
However, the three bronze dragon skulls found in Clark's lair could be used to increase intimacy with Kenneth or The Thinker—bronze dragons are social creatures, and given their range of activity and networks, Kenneth and The Thinker might even know these three unfortunate creatures who disappeared after being attached to Clark, and could bring their remains back to their own clan for some solace.
With Clarke dealt with, the deal with the Radiant Queen proceeded smoothly.
Through her persuasion, Casalos gained the allegiance of two of the five wild dwarf tribes, and Dragonlands gained 233 new highly skilled laborers.
The remaining three tribes were unwilling to follow it to the distant Tindor Plains, but out of gratitude for its elimination of the Jade Dragon threat and respect for the Brilliant Queen as its persuader, they agreed to work for Casaloz for a period of time, with the goal of mining the three gold mines until they were depleted.
Casalos had no complaints about this; these wild dwarves, unwilling to become its servants, were able to cultivate a branch base for it on the Barren Coast. The Barren Coast was located on the essential route of the trade route between the Eastern Continent, Golden Vale, and Faerûn. The gold mine that the Radiant Queen had traded to Casalos was situated with its back to a peninsula peak jutting out into the sea, shielding it from the storms blowing from the Sea of No Trace. With proper cultivation, a calm, deep-water port could be built there, which would be excellent for the future trade development of the Dragon Territory.
Of course, establishing a freight transport route between Dragon Territory and this area is a prerequisite for everything. Casalos might consider bringing Desera Port under its rule, but its identity as a Red Dragon in Tindor will be its biggest obstacle.
Perhaps we should consider using proxies as a means of governance...
While making rough plans for future development, Casalos slowly returned to the snowy mountain peak aboard the Iron Dawn. He put on a red dragon skin, made an appearance in the lair, checked Isis's learning progress, inspected the assimilation training of the humanoid monsters on the grassland, and then returned to the dragon territory in the Underdark.
The Dragon-led underwater forces' guerrilla war to liberate the slaves of Gravesend continues. Although the scale remains small, with the two dragons protecting them, no major problems have arisen. Through a series of small-scale raids, the team members are gaining more and more experience, gradually developing a suitable set of tactics and strategies. The role that Bellamy and Shacales can play in these operations is becoming increasingly smaller.
With this in mind, Casalos dispatched his two vicious dogs to the surface to guard the barren coastal branch base and ensure the safety of the gold mine. He could also make use of their underwater capabilities to contribute to the construction of the deep-water port.
The Charleson boy remains imprisoned in a heavily guarded cell. Under Casalos's directional guidance, a dragon vein sorcerer elder skilled in illusion has made some progress in interrogating the green dragon lich. It is estimated that after another year or two of research, it will be able to break through the dragon lich's immunity to illusion, directly injecting illusion into the dragon lich's senses that are completely dependent on magic, and emptying all the information from its soul.
Once the Blood Oath Contract is obtained, the Charleson boy will be able to travel to Sword Bay, officially commencing the construction of the Dragon Territory's secret intelligence network.
All of Casalos's current arrangements are progressing smoothly and systematically.
66. Descartes' new governor
The straight-line distance from the desolate coast to Desela is more than 2,000 kilometers. If the wild dwarves were to migrate by land, they would need to cross thousands of kilometers of dangerous Churt jungle, then bypass the Sanlachi mountain range, and enter from the Tindor grassland, which is almost an impossible task.
The sea route was the only option, so the construction of the port and the completion of Desera's actual rule were urgent.
Fortunately, neither was particularly difficult. With the excavations by Bellamy and Shacales, a deep-water port could be completed in just a few days; and the rule of Desera...
Chapter 146
There are also ready-made candidates for the port's agent; Gunther Craymond, the leader of the Isis tribe, is a good choice.
Due to limited transportation, the migration of the wild dwarf tribes to the Tindor Plains will take several years, and the mining of gold and the construction of branch bases will take even longer. To ensure the safety of the entire plan, Casalos needs to assemble a professional escort team and establish multiple permanent rest stops along the way. The monsters from the snow-capped mountains who have submitted will immediately be properly accommodated.
This is how lords operate. Lower-level executors simply need to dedicate themselves to their work, obeying orders and working themselves to the bone. But the lord, as the decision-maker above, has to consider many things: geopolitics, internal and external conflicts, strategic planning, development direction…
Well, the reality is far from ideal. From the very beginning, life has maintained its system's order and growth through "plunder," and the most fundamental operating logic of every individual is "self-interest." The emergence of higher intelligence allows life to think and "calculate," thereby achieving more long-term and effective self-interest through altruistic behavior. This is the reason for the formation of pseudosociality.
However, wisdom is complex. Every intelligent individual with independent consciousness has their own thoughts, which in turn give rise to unique behavioral logic.
In any pseudo-social society composed of intelligent individuals, the lowest-level implementers have their own needs. Their fundamental purpose in serving the territory is to improve their own lives, rather than selflessly sacrificing everything for the benefit of the group like worker ants in a eusocial species. They want change, they want more, and they even want to become decision-makers. Similarly, the lord, as the decision-maker, will not think about the development of the group as solely about the interests of the species, as the sole intelligence of a eusocial species would. The lord will never wholeheartedly devote himself to the construction of the territory; he will also satisfy his own needs and desires by harming the interests of the territory.
Between the decision-making and execution levels, there's a missing layer of management—a middle layer—that facilitates smooth communication between the two. Individuals within this management layer also have their own needs and desires, and as a bridge, they can easily deceive superiors and subordinates, obstructing information flow between the decision-making and execution levels, creating specific information cocoons for both, and thus reaping the benefits…
Casalos didn't consider itself a singularity of the Mechanical Realm, much less a selfless holy dragon. Its sole purpose in developing Dragon Territory was to enhance its own power; Dragon Territory was ultimately just a tool for it. Fortunately, the kobolds' absolute, soul-deep worship of dragons unconditionally supported its whims; and its inherent sense of order prevented Dragon Territory from becoming a chaotic demonic realm that grew wildly through the breeding of treacherous creatures, like a bottomless abyss.
Therefore, Dragon Territory's development so far has been rapid and effective—ultimately, it's because Dragon Territory is too small, with only a few hundred people, and the middle management is handled by kobolds, which makes the inexperienced Casalos appear like a wise ruler.
Casalos knew that as the Dragon Territory expanded on the ground, the proportion of the population from different races gradually increased, and the various levels of the Dragon Territory's structure would become increasingly bloated. Internal conflicts and struggles for interests that did not exist before would gradually emerge. Whether it could maintain the original pace of development and whether it could restrain it from completely breaking away from its control like a wild horse would be a huge test for it.
Besides diligently learning relevant experience and knowledge, all it can do is to improve its own strength as soon as possible, so as to ensure, through absolute force, that the development of Dragon Territory will not deviate from its control unchecked: where the dragon is, Dragon Territory exists; where the dragon is, Dragon Territory exists; wherever the dragon's head points, that is where Dragon Territory will go!
Under Casaloz's orders, Svent and his guards disguised themselves as steppe people and accompanied Craymond on a trip to Sindar, the capital of Tindor, to successfully secure the position of governor of Desera Port through official channels.
This matter encountered virtually no resistance. The grasslands east of Gasland Bay had long been under Julius's tyrannical rule, and Tindor was utterly powerless against them. While Desera was considered prosperous, its governorship was a hot potato; powerful tribes were unwilling to take it on, and the current governor was a good-for-nothing who couldn't even make money. It was precisely because of this that he was able to live well under Julius's nose; otherwise, if he had taken the wealth that Julius considered his treasure, he would have been annihilated long ago.
News of Casaloz-Sesita's killing of Julius had spread throughout the steppes. Desera remained as dead as ever. The king of the Tindor steppes grew increasingly dissatisfied with the current governor of Desera. Now that someone had volunteered to take his place, the king of the steppes was naturally willing.
Craymond's formal takeover of Desera caused a minor commotion. Even with the royal decree in hand, the old governor was unwilling to relinquish his power. Upon seeing the grassland royal decree, he summoned the private soldiers he had recruited over the years, intending to defy it by force—a traditional custom among the grassland people. The royal decree was one thing, but the various tribes and cities were more likely to obey orders than actual commands. To seize power from them, a real battle was necessary; only by defeating the royal decree would it be valid.
Thus, Svent had no choice but to hang the heads of the old governor and his private soldiers on the port, so that merchants passing through Dessela would know that the port had changed hands.
Dessela then embarked on a massive construction project. The new governor, from who-knows-where, brought in a bunch of "magicians" who used magic to drastically expand the existing port area, extending the breakwater to several kilometers offshore, and conjuring up dozens of brand-new stone piers. He also leveled a large open space on the opposite bank of the river flowing into Gasland Bay, digging several long, rectangular pits, supposedly to build a dock capable of manufacturing large ocean-going ships...
The Desera people didn't know whether the changes brought about by the new governor were good or bad; they could only watch with worry and harbor a faint hope.
67. Trade routes
Dressed in finery, Tobeys sat on the stern, pipe in one hand and a flask in the other. He took a puff of damp, musty tobacco, then gulped down a mouthful of cheap ale with a sour smell, and idly watched the sunset half-buried on the horizon.
"What a miserable experience! If it weren't for the money to be made, who would want to drift on this sea? Bah!"
He is the captain of the Bellflower, and has been adrift at sea for nearly two months.
Like all Faerûn ships that traverse the Great Sea, the Bellflower was an ocean-going merchant vessel operating the Faerûn-Eastern Continent trade route. The sea route from Faerûn to the Eastern Continent was extremely long. The Bellflower typically departed from Karin Port in the Radiant Sea, heading south into the Great Sea, then sailing east along the southern coast of the Churt Peninsula to Golden Val for its first trade. After a brief rest and restocking in Golden Val, it would continue south, skirting the Zahara Continent into the Bustling Sea, bypassing this barren and scorching region, and traversing the archipelago to reach the Kingdom of Fetan across the Sea of Ten Thousand Seas for its second round of trade. The Bellflower would thoroughly empty its cargo holds in the backward Fetan, then sail swiftly into the Southern Ocean before heading north into the Azure Sea, finally reaching the end of its route: the Dragon Empire on the continent of Karatu!
Afterwards, the crew will indulge themselves for a few days in the port of the Dragon Empire, which is far more prosperous than Deepwater City or Karin Port, before loading up with all sorts of goods produced by the Dragon Empire and traveling day and night back to the continent of Faerûn.
