Looking up, I spot a familiar figure standing at my doorstep.

"Roth," I mutter with a smile, walking toward him. When I get closer, I pull him into a quick brotherly hug.

"It's been a while, man. Why the hell do you look so lean?" Roth says, giving me a strange look.

"Really?" I reply with a wry smile. My recent sex escapades are enough explanation for the weight loss.

Roth is dressed in a white shirt and jeans, very human-like, and his hair is styled and neatly slicked back with cream. His whole demeanor radiates confidence, almost like I'm standing in front of a new version of him.

"Let's go inside and have some tea," I say.

"Sure," Roth replies, and I lead him to the top balcony of my residence, which overlooks the mountains. I prepare tea for both of us, though I regret not having any maids around—it took me way too long to make it.

"Jake, I came here because I'm worried. Are you staying here on the vampire planet for good? It's been nearly a year," Roth says, concern etched on his face.

"I know. There's just a lot I need to take care of here. I'll return soon. Besides, it seems like you're thriving on Earth. Spending that tournament money, huh?" I tease.

"Yeah, man. I plan to join Super Academy. Plus, I took Avril to Earth, and now we're also planning to have a baby," Roth says, his face lighting up with a grin.

"Oh, Avril Cross? The girl with the blood cloning powers?"

"Yeah, that's her."

"Listen, Roth, let me give you some advice. It's your choice if you take it or not. We're both strong—stronger than most of the teachers at Super Academy. I used to be excited about joining too, but that excitement died long ago. It's boring. Why not join a faction instead?"

Roth's face brightens. "A faction, huh? That actually sounds better! This is why I trust you, Jake. You always have the best ideas," he says, shaking my hand enthusiastically.
