Chapter 128 Pass 3
Chapter 128 Pass 3
Why are you staring at me like that?
Feeling Philon's gaze fixed on him, Shutark couldn't help but ask Philon.
"It's nothing, it's just that you've been very cooperative."
Philen didn't expect Shutark to be so cooperative with her; he did whatever she said.
"You were the one who said you'd have to find a way, weren't you? Didn't you not want to wait too long?"
Shutark looked at Philen and said that since it was his companion's request, he should of course lend a hand.
“You seem to be working even harder than I am.”
Philen's words came at the right time. Although it was her own request, it was Shutark who had helped her ask around the whole way, and Philen was very grateful for Shutark's help.
"Yes! Because there isn't that much time left."
When Hugh Tarek spoke of this, his expression became somewhat downcast. He didn't want to waste any more time here; he wanted to finish this journey as soon as possible and return to his master's side.
Just like the bar owner said, his master is old and it's time for him to take care of him. If his master hadn't made him follow Frilian and the others, he might have returned to his master's side after defeating the dragon.
"What do you mean?"
Philon looked at Hugh Tarek with a puzzled expression.
"Isn't the scenery here beautiful? You can see the entire north side. My master brought me here when I was a child. He never talks about his own life, but he is incredibly happy when he talks about the adventures of the heroes."
In his master's long life, this was only a short ten-year adventure, yet he cherished it immensely. Frilian must feel the same way!
Looking at the scenery in the northern kingdoms reminded Shutark of his childhood when Aize brought him here. He never imagined that so many years had passed since then.
"Then I don't know. Perhaps only Lord Shi Yichen knows what Lady Frillian is thinking!"
Philen smiled as she looked at the scenery to the north, but couldn't help shaking her head when she thought about what Frilian had done.
“My master is getting old and no longer has the strength to travel. He asked you to bring me along, so I must experience some of the boring yet adventurous journeys for him and bring back all the sights and sounds I have to tell him.”
This is the only way I can repay your kindness. If I dawdle, my master will die before I can repay you.
With his hands on the city wall, Shutark poured out his heart to Philen, explaining why he had been cooperating with her—he didn't want to stay there any longer.
"I see. Then we must not stop here."
Philen smiled gently at Hugh Tarek and listened to his words, which inadvertently reminded her of the little girl from years ago who had diligently practiced magic to repay a debt of gratitude. Until recently, she had finally fulfilled her duty to her savior and had no more regrets.
"However, he seems to have a long life ahead of him!"

the other side.
Frilian and Shi Yichen went into hiding because they had been discovered.
“I said, let’s just stop hiding, they’ll come looking for us sooner or later.”
Shi Yichen looked at Frilian, who was on guard around her, and smiled indulgently.
"How can that be? We've finally found a place where we can stay a little longer, how can we leave so easily?"
Frilian whispered to Shi Yichen, wary of her surroundings. To avoid being discovered, she even held up a magic book in front of her, as if afraid of being found out.
"This way."
Seeing the guards behind them approaching, Frilian quickly pulled Shi Yichen into a small alley. This scene was witnessed by Philon, who was on her way to find Shi Yichen.
"Lord Shi Yichen, Lady Frilian, what are you doing here?"
Philen stepped forward, looking at Shi Yichen and Frilian with a puzzled expression. Of course, Philen's gaze was mainly on the sneaky-looking Frilian. She could sense that Frilian seemed to be avoiding something, while Shi Yichen looked at Frilian with a doting expression.
Shh! Be quiet, someone is chasing us.
Frilian gestured for Philon to speak softly, then spoke seriously to Philon and Shutark.
"Is this true, Lord Shi Yichen?"
Philon looked at Shi Yichen in disbelief. How could such a heavily guarded city have someone like this?
Well, not really.
Shi Yichen waved his hand, indicating that Philon didn't need to be so nervous.
Actually, nothing much happened. She and Frilian were just strolling along the street when they realized something was wrong. Suddenly, there were many more guards in the city, and they were looking for the two of them.
So Frilian dragged Shi Yichen through the streets and alleys to avoid the guards, which led to the scene just now. Although she didn't know what the guards wanted from them, Frilian could sense that this was not a good thing.
"really?"
Shutark leaned against the wall, watching a group of armored guards outside, and the captain of the guards standing at the city gate, who was giving orders to his men.
"Ok?"
The captain of the guard sensed someone watching him. He looked up and saw Shutark hiding in the corner. He remembered seeing this man at the city gate; he was one of the four people they were looking for.
"What have you done? Why are so many guards looking for you?"
When Hugh Tarek realized he had been discovered, he quickly retreated and hid, looking at Shi Yichen and Frilian with a terrified expression. He felt as if all the guards in the city were looking for them.
"How would I know? I just went to several magic shops with Yichen."
Frillie felt that she and Yichen hadn't done anything wrong. They had only visited a few magic shops, so why were so many people looking for them?
Suddenly, a tall figure appeared behind Rishutark. Shi Yichen and the other two looked at the person behind Rishutark. Rishutark also turned around and looked behind him. It was the captain of the guards.
"I am very sorry, Lord Shi Yichen, Lady Frilian, I hope you can understand."
Upon seeing Shi Yichen and Frilian, the captain of the guard immediately knelt on the ground and apologized to them.
"Wait, I suddenly have a very bad feeling."
Frilian gripped Shi Yichen's hand tightly, as if she knew what was about to happen.
"The captain of the guard has offended you and Lord Shi Yichen. In my capacity as the acting lord of this city, I apologize to you."
An uncle with a cane walked over, looked at Shi Yichen and Frilian, and then bowed to them to express his apology. Although so much time had passed, he still recognized Shi Yichen and Frilian.
Even if you don't recognize them, it doesn't matter, the city has preserved portraits of the heroes and their companions.
As Frillie looked at the person in front of her, her ominous premonition intensified.
"Well, we don't mind. He was just doing his duty as a guard. We're not in a hurry to get going either. In fact, I'd like to take it slow..."
