Hogwarts: Don't call me the Staff Maker

Chapter 672 Crabbe and Goyle

Chapter 672 Crabbe and Goyle

Chapter 672 Crabbe and Goyle

Although Dumbledore's curse wasn't completely eradicated this time, it wasn't entirely without gain; at least Siron learned from Snape that someone in the school wanted to kill Dumbledore.

The first person Celen thought of was Malfoy.

This is normal. Lucius Malfoy lost Voldemort's Horcrux, and that diary has now not only become Siron's property, but has also caused Voldemort considerable trouble.

Last Christmas holiday, Celen was taken to the swamp by Bellatrix. If it weren't for the diary being able to withstand the Killing Curse, Celen would probably have been killed long ago.

Voldemort witnessed all of this—how could he possibly let Lucius Malfoy, who had lost his Horcrux, go unpunished?

So, as punishment, he ordered Draco Malfoy to do an impossible task, which was perfectly normal.

But judging from Snape's words, it seems that there is more than one person who wants to kill Dumbledore.

Who else but Malfoy?

Siren didn't know, but he was certain they were all Slytherins.

Crabbe, Gore, Sabini, Pansy, Theodore —

Siren thought of some names that might be related to Death Eaters, but there were too many.

He knew that five or six of his classmates were in the same year as him, and Slytherin had seven years.

Especially now that Voldemort has relaxed his requirements for Death Eaters and recruited more so-called pure-blood wizards, their children might be in Slytherin.

After thinking it over, Celen decided to start with Malfoy, since Malfoy was the only one worth suspecting at the moment.

He even dug out the Marauder's Map, which he hadn't used in a long time. He had lent the map to Fred and George when they were dealing with Umbridge.

After Umbridge disappeared from the Room of Requirement, they returned the Marauder's Map to Siron, but Siron hardly ever used it.

This is a good opportunity to observe Malfoy's movements and who he has been in contact with. If they want to work together, they will definitely need to discuss their strategies.

But for the next two weeks, Celen did not notice anything unusual about Malfoy. Whether in class or in the common room, his behavior was perfectly normal.

He was mostly with Crabbe and Goyle, his two henchmen; apart from them, Malfoy rarely interacted with anyone else. Even in the common room late at night, Malfoy's name would always appear alone in one spot.

On the contrary, Crabbe and Goyle spent much more time alone in the castle than usual, and sometimes they would stand still in the empty corridors.

When Celen went to his class on protecting magical creatures that day, he saw them again, parked in the middle of a corridor on the third floor.

So he immediately changed direction and took another staircase to the same third floor.

The Marauder's Map still didn't provide enough information, so Celen decided to try and arrange a chance encounter. Since he was the only one in the Magical Creatures Protection class, being a little late wouldn't matter; Hagrid wouldn't mind.

Based on the location on the Marauder's Map, Siron quickly found the corridor, and from a distance, he saw Crabbe and Goyle, two wooden stump-like figures.

Similarly, the other person also saw him, and the two immediately became tense, their bodies stiffening as they stared intently at the approaching Xilen.

"Olivander of Gryffindor—" Crabbe squinted and said coldly, "What are you doing here!"

"What, did you buy the school? Do I need to report to you where I go?" Xilun sneered, while quickly surveying his surroundings.

But there are no problems here.

The corridor was clean, with two decorative suits of armor in the middle and a portrait on the wall depicting a sorcerer dressed in medieval noble attire. Other than that, there seemed to be nothing else.

"I'm warning you, you'd better get out of here now—if you don't want to suffer." Crabbe stepped forward, his fists clenched so tightly they cracked.

"Hmm?" Xilun's eyes lit up as he suddenly thought of something.

"Speaking of which, I remember warning you before not to show your faces in front of me again. What, hasn't your experience on the train taught you that lesson?"

Xiren took out his wand and shook it gently.

Memories flooded back, and Crabbe, who had been so arrogant just moments before, immediately panicked. But he quickly suppressed his fear and looked at Xilen with a fierce but inwardly weak expression.

"You were there because there were many of you on the train. Do you think anyone will help you this time?"

"How do you know there isn't?" Xilun retorted.

"Of course I know, it's class time, Potter and that Mudblood are both—"

Before he could finish speaking, he heard a clanging sound behind him, like something heavy was moving.

"Ah, what the hell is this?!" Gore screamed.

Crabbe instinctively turned his head.

It was armor—he saw the two decorative suits of armor in the middle of the corridor come to life and were running towards them at high speed.

"Four and a half —"

He collapsed to the ground, completely unconscious!

Crabbe had just raised his wand when he was struck by a spell and collapsed to the ground, followed by Goyle who also fell down beside him.

Ten minutes later, Siren walked out of the castle and along the path by the Black Lake to the Forbidden Forest, in front of Hagrid's cabin.

"You're late!" Hagrid said sternly. "Silen, just because you're the only student in this class doesn't mean you can break the rules. I—"

"Sorry, Hagrid," Cyren interrupted him promptly. "I ran into two Slytherins on my way to class. They warned me not to mess with Voldemort and said they'd teach me a lesson."

"What?"

Hagrid immediately forgot about Siren's lateness.

"Outrageous! This is Hogwarts! How dare they—utterly lawless!" Hagrid's face flushed crimson. "Take me there, Sirius! I want to see who's so bold as to support the Man of Darkness at Hogwarts!"

"No need, Hagrid, I've already taken care of it," Celen said.

Crabbe and Goyle should still be asleep by now.

Unfortunately, he found nothing suspicious on the two of them. Although they had a lot of things in their pockets that violated school rules, none of them were actually related to dark magic.

It was as if they had just stopped there and talked for a while.

"Is that so?" Hearing Xiren say this, Hagrid gradually calmed down.

"How are you? Are you hurt?" he asked.

"Of course not," Siren said.

"There's nothing to be proud of," Hagrid said sternly again. "Next time something like this happens, the best thing you should do is tell the professor, not try to handle it yourself!"

"Okay, I'll try," Xiren said with a shrug.
