Chapter 619 Voldemort Can't Be By His Side Forever
When the group arrived at Madam Malkin's Robes Shop, they suddenly realized that there seemed to be quite a lot of people there.
Like the wand shop, the space in Madam Malkin's Robes Shop is also very limited. A dozen or so large and small clothes racks almost fill the entire room, leaving little room for them all to fit inside.
Mr. Weasley immediately decided to split up, with Sirius and Hagrid staying behind to help the remaining students buy their school uniforms. He and Charlie went to Flourish and Blotts to help purchase the new textbooks they needed.
Bill is going to Gringotts to handle some work-related matters, and Mrs. Weasley will be going with him to collect some money.
Mrs. Weasley was a little troubled. She wanted everyone to finish shopping as soon as possible and get back to the safer number 12 Grimmauld Place, but she also didn't want them to be separated. She was caught in a dilemma.
"Don't worry, Molly, we're here, everything will be fine," Hagrid said. He and Sirius walked to the entrance of Madam Malkin's Robes shop, one on each side, cautiously observing their surroundings.
Mrs. Weasley was still somewhat uneasy, but she still managed to separate everyone.
"Wait, Mrs. Weasley," Harry said, pulling a small key from his pocket. "Could you also get some money if it's convenient?"
"Of course, no problem, dear." Mrs. Weasley took the vault key from Harry. "How many do you need?"
"Thirty Galleons, is that alright?" Harry calculated the price of the new robes, textbooks, and parchment.
"Of course, no problem." Mrs. Weasley nodded.
But just as she was about to leave with Bill, she was stopped by someone.
"Wait, Molly, just wait a minute."
Sirius Black walked over from the side, disgruntled, and said, "Harry, why are you going to such lengths? Or do you think I can't even afford a robe?"
He pulled out a bulging bag and opened it. It was full of Galleons, not a single silver Sickle; the golden light almost blinded Harry.
"Here you go," Sirius casually tossed the bag to Harry under Ron's envious gaze, saying in a relaxed tone, "Buy whatever you want: a new robe, a Firebolt maintenance kit, Honeydukes' new products. This should be enough for you for a while."
Harry instinctively tried to catch it, but the moment he touched the bag, his arm sank sharply downwards. Clearly, it was much heavier than he had expected.
Mrs. Weasley frowned and gave Sirius a disapproving look. "Sirius, don't encourage Harry to waste money."
But Sirius seemed completely unconcerned.
"Don't be nervous, Molly, it's just a little pocket money."
"Thank you, Sirius, but no need," Harry said, trying to return the wallet to Sirius.
"Why?" Sirius didn't answer. "You don't need to feel embarrassed, Harry. I'm your godfather, it's only natural for me to spend money on you."
"I know," Harry said. "And I'm not embarrassed, but I haven't been to Gringotts for over two years."
"So what? It doesn't matter if you never go to Gringotts again, I don't care."
That being said, and Harry also knew that although Sirius Black did not fully inherit the Black family's wealth, one of his uncles left him a large sum of money, much more than the Galleons in the Potter family's coffers.
But Harry still felt it wasn't quite right; he didn't want to keep spending Sirius's money.
Besides, thirty Galleons isn't much.
Just as Harry was thinking about how to explain to Sirius, he heard a familiar voice coming from the robe shop.
"Mom, I know what you meant by that strange smell. I can tell you, a Mudblood and a mixed-race bastard just got in here."
Draco Malfoy walked out of the store, immediately ending the discussion about pocket money.
"I don't think it's necessary to say that!" Mrs. Malkin followed, carrying a tape measure and a magic wand.
"Watch your mouth, kid!" Sirius Black drew his wand and pointed it at Draco Malfoy.
However, the next second, someone blocked his way.
"Sirius Black, what do you want to do to my son?!"
Narcissa Malfoy raised her smooth, arrogant face and glared at Sirius.
Sirius looked at her former cousin with a complicated expression, and said nothing more.
But Harry and Ron ignored all that, still pointing their wands at Draco Malfoy, ready to deliver a brutal blow at any moment.
Hermione was trying to calm them down.
Underage wizards are prohibited from using magic outside of school, and with so many people watching, if they actually lay a hand on Malfoy, the Ministry of Magic will definitely intervene, and they might even be expelled.
It's not worth doing this.
"Put your wands away!" Narcissa Malfoy said again. "If you dare lay a hand on my son again, I'll make sure you can't move."
But Harry and Ron completely ignored her, and even Sirius Black raised his wand again.
This made her even more annoyed.
"It's clear you've become Dumbledore's prized student and mistakenly believe you're safe, Harry Potter," she said in a threatening tone. "But Dumbledore can't always be there to protect you."
"Well said." Applause came from behind.
Everyone instinctively turned around and saw Siren slowly walking over. Draco Malfoy's face turned deathly pale in an instant.
"It's you!"
Narcissa Malfoy's once pretty face became incredibly ferocious at this moment.
"How dare you hit my son and shove him onto the luggage rack! You—"
"You should feel fortunate, madam," Celen interrupted Narcissa Malfoy calmly, looking at her with a measured tone.
"You should be glad Draco is still a Hogwarts student, otherwise you would have to go to the Forbidden Forest to find him instead of finding him on the luggage rack."
Narcissa Malfoy's face turned as purple as the Ministry of Magic notice behind her, and her lips trembled uncontrollably.
She glared at Xilen with resentment, but a hint of panic flashed across her face.
She must be terrified, because Cyren Ollivander is not like Harry Potter; he has actually killed Death Eaters, and more than one at that.
Narcissa Malfoy gripped her wand tightly, her eyes filled with struggle, as if she were considering whether to kill Cyren here and solve this problem once and for all.
"Oh, by the way, there's something I'd like you to tell Lucius for me." Sillen continued, seemingly oblivious to her subtle movements, "I know everything he's done, and this isn't going to end like this—Voldemort can't always be there to protect him."
