Chapter 565 The Strange Harry
After leaving the auditorium, Xiren stood in the foyer with mixed feelings.
Dumbledore eventually learned the secret of the Horcruxes. Before that, Sirius had been worried that Dumbledore would insist on destroying all the Horcruxes just in case.
Fortunately, he did not do that. After confirming that Voldemort's soul had disappeared, he did not continue to target the diary, which was a Horcrux itself.
This relieved Xilun.
As compensation, Dumbledore's unique mentoring methods also greatly benefited Sherren.
This was the first time he had ever seen the Pensieve used in this way. As Dumbledore, he could clearly understand everything the other person felt when using a spell.
This is equivalent to him taking the most difficult first step directly. As long as he remembers that feeling, it will be much easier to use this spell again.
Unfortunately, Apparition is prohibited everywhere in Hogwarts except the Great Hall, otherwise he would have really liked to practice more.
etc----
Suddenly, Xilun remembered something and abruptly stopped in his tracks.
Come to think of it, there really is a place in the school where he might practice Apparition—the Room of Requirement on the eighth floor.
Although it is also within the Hogwarts area, it has a unique character that is completely different from other places.
If he needed it, there might actually be a room that allowed apparition.
Xiren immediately decided to give it a try.
But just as he crossed the foyer and was about to head up the stairs, a jar filled with dead cockroaches was suddenly thrown out of the basement classroom and shattered on the stair railing.
At the same time, there was a loud slamming of a door and Snape's furious shouts.
"Get out, get out, I never want to see you in this office again."
Then Siren saw Harry with his head down, running all the way down the corridor until he stopped at the entrance of the library on the second floor.
He leaned against the wall, panting, rubbing his arms.
"Did Snape hit you?" Siren walked over and asked.
"Sirlen—" Harry was startled, his eyes instinctively darting away. "You, what are you doing here?"
Xilun raised an eyebrow, somewhat surprised.
Snape was so angry that he threw things. Given Harry's personality, he should be even angrier than Snape. So why is he acting like he's in the wrong now?
"Harry?"
"Ah, no," Harry said in a panic, shaking his head vigorously.
"I accidentally fell and injured myself; it has nothing to do with Snape." He hid his arm behind his back.
"Something's not right with you," Celen said suddenly. "Did something happen in the underground classroom?"
"No, there's nothing there," Harry insisted, but his eyes darted around, still avoiding Siron's gaze.
Seeing his expression, Xilun didn't ask any more questions.
The two walked together toward the common lounge.
Harry remained silent the entire way up, not uttering a single word, until they reached the eighth floor and were about to see the portrait of the Fat Lady. Then he suddenly spoke, asking, "Shillon, do you know—well, what Sirius was like when he was in school?"
"Hmm?" Xilun looked at him in confusion.
"What I mean is, what kind of person was Sirius Black when he was in school? Have you talked about this before?"
“No,” Sirius said. “We’ve never talked about these things. And Sirius isn’t old enough to enjoy discussing the past.”
"Oh, okay."
"But I know one thing—"
Harry had just sighed in disappointment when he heard Sirius continue, "Sirius certainly wasn't a model student in school. The things he did—well, they probably wouldn't have landed him in Azkaban, but if you knew, you certainly wouldn't like him."
"Like—Malfoy from Slytherin?" Harry's voice was a little hoarse.
"It's hard to say," Hillen shook his head. "After all, the people he targets are Slytherins, and most Gryffindors see him as a hero, so overall, he's still quite popular at school."
"Ah, that's right, they're targeting Slytherin—those nasty bunch—" Harry muttered to himself, as if he had discovered some important truth, and he was no longer as silent as before.
"Them?" Xiren blinked.
Harry had been asking about Sirius, but he subconsciously said "they," which means that what he really wanted to know wasn't Sirius, but someone close to him.
James Porter?
If we were to say who had the best relationship with Sirius Black, it would definitely be James Potter, who was inseparable from him like a brother. Even Rosemore, the woman with the Three Brooms, knew this perfectly well.
So, was Harry's behavior just now because he learned something about James Potter from Snape?
Siren remembered that Snape taught Harry Occlumency by using Legilimency to look into his memories, forcing him to protect himself.
However, the Legilimency spell has a significant drawback that cannot be ignored: when the target's emotions are too intense, it can easily bounce back onto the caster.
Most of the time, only wizards who are absolutely confident in themselves will use Legilimency.
Could it be that Harry saw his father's school days in Snape's memories?
Silen raised an eyebrow. If that was the case, it would explain things better. After all, James Potter and Sirius Black's actions in their youth were hardly impressive, especially from Snape's perspective.
As they spoke, the two had already walked up to the portrait of the fat lady.
It was still early, and many people were chatting and doing their homework in the common room.
Hermione and Ron were also there, and they noticed Harry's unusual behavior as well.
But like Siron, no matter how they asked, Harry wouldn't say anything.
"I already said that," Harry said in a low voice, sounding a little impatient. "I'm fine. The bruises on my arm are from when I accidentally fell."
The two frowned, but said nothing, because the marks on Harry's arm did indeed look like an accidental bump.
And if you think about it carefully, it's highly unlikely that Snape, as a professor, would actually attack Harry in the underground classroom.
"Then why did you say that we don't need to go to the Occlumency class anymore?" Hermione asked.
"That's normal," Harry said, glancing away slightly. "Siron doesn't take Apparition anymore either."
""
Xilun hadn't expected this to be related to him, and said, "Dumbledore thinks I've already learned Apparition, so naturally I don't need to attend classes anymore."
