Chapter 16 Eternal Realm Orphan's Magical Transformation into Celestial Dragon
Chapter 16 Eternal Realm Orphan's Magical Transformation into Celestial Dragon
Ollivander listened to Hermione's earnest words and showed a hint of apology: "I'm sorry, miss, I don't offer custom-made services here. In addition, we have all kinds of wand combinations. If you want, you can even try them out until next year, which is no different from custom-made."
Hermione raised a finger and pointed at Kane, who was fiddling with his wand. "And what about him?"
Caught in the crossfire, Kane pointed his wand at himself and asked, "Me?"
Ollivander was a little embarrassed, realizing he shouldn't have been so absolute. However, it was indeed his rule not to make custom orders for just anyone, so he could only awkwardly reply, "He's different."
Hermione immediately wilted. Her parents' upbringing had taught her, at a young age, the basic rules of how the world works, and that those at the top do indeed enjoy benefits that ordinary people cannot.
A life of luxury, a high-end education—I never imagined that even the first step into the magical world would be divided into different classes.
"Then help me choose a wand." Hermione didn't want to say another word to these disgusting Celestial Dragons. She just wanted to get her own wand as quickly as possible and then plunge into the ocean of knowledge, constantly absorbing its wisdom.
From this small wand shop, she could see just how severe the class stratification was in the entire wizarding world. All she could hold onto now was her proud learning ability. If she didn't give up even a tiny bit of time to study, perhaps she could catch a glimpse of the taillights of those so-called pure-blooded Celestial Dragons.
This is why Ron doesn't know what Hermione is thinking. As a genuine pure-blood wizard from the Union Jack, if he knew that Hermione thought so highly of them pure-bloods, he wouldn't know whether he would feel happy or ashamed.
Kane noticed Hermione's obviously off expression and immediately tried to slip away from the wand shop. Hermione felt like a powder keg.
Mr. Ollivander, the one who was the lead in this story, clearly did not think so. After much hesitation, he still felt that being able to see the two unheard-of alchemical materials, Living Wood and Nightmare Fuel, in his lifetime was a blessing from fate.
It would be going too far for Kane, who brought him these two gifts, to charge him money. He is a craftsman first and a merchant second.
Then, amidst Kane and Harry's bewilderment, Ron's surprise, and Hermione's gaze that of a revolutionary looking at a landlord and a poor tenant farmer, Ollivander placed a small cloth bag full of Galleons into Kane's hands.
"Being able to create such a work is my reward. Don't think it's too little, child," Ollivander said, then knelt down and hugged Kane.
"I don't know what happened, but I suddenly felt a chill on my neck, like a murderous aura was sneaking up on me," Kane said quietly as he walked out of Ollivander's wand shop.
"Perhaps it's that little witch, Hermione Granger. Well, if I had been treated that way when I was a child, I would have been angry too," Hagrid said.
"Never mind him, I have to go to Gringotts. Hagrid, will you come with me?" Kane said, looking at the Galleons in his hand. He needed two gold nuggets to make a scientific machine. Now that he had money, he could probably buy some at Gringotts. With Hagrid by his side, he wouldn't have to worry about the goblins there bullying him, a little kid.
"I don't understand, but that's okay."
The four walked around Gringotts and quickly came out again. The difference was that Kane had two gold nuggets in his pocket, while the Galleons Ollivander had given him... were all gone.
"Oh, I heard someone say that Kane gave that arrogant brat from the Malfoy family a good beating, is that true?"
Kane turned to look at the source of the voice, which was composed of two voices. It was the Weasley twins, who spoke in a very distinctive way.
"I can only say that you're really missing out if you didn't see that scene. Kane's shadow lifted Malfoy up to the ceiling in an instant, and he couldn't get down. In the end, it was Malfoy's father who came to apologize to Kane to resolve the situation."
Ron immediately began to vividly recount the events at the ice cream shop, shocking the Weasleys.
"I can't believe that Lucius Malfoy actually knows how to say the word 'apology,' it's really strange," Mr. Weasley murmured in amazement.
Unlike their parents who would chat for ages if they met on the street, the Weasleys only exchanged a few words with Kane and his family before leaving without a trace, except for Ron.
In the courtyard of the Leaky Cauldron, only Kane, Harry, and Hagrid were present.
Hagrid stroked his beard: "Professor McGonagall told me you weren't having a good time living with that Muggle family, right?"
Harry sighed, "It depends on how you define it. While I didn't receive the slightest respect anywhere, I certainly didn't suffer any real harm, if it weren't for Dudley."
"In that case, I think you don't want to go back to their house, so you can choose to stay here at the Leaky Cauldron. They provide accommodation and meals." Hagrid said, heading towards the back door of the bar.
Harry was overjoyed at first, but then he suddenly remembered that he had a brother who was probably sleeping under a bridge and eating garbage somewhere, so he naturally had to help him out.
"A double room, Kane will stay there too," Harry added.
"But Kane has a place to stay," Hagrid replied.
"Maybe it's under a bridge, but it's definitely not as comfortable as sleeping here. Now that I have money, I can't just stand by and watch him suffer." Harry patted his chest, taking on all the responsibilities for Kane like an older brother.
"Um, Kane, what do you think?" Hagrid looked at Kane somewhat awkwardly. What could he say? Sleeping in a bunk bed always made him feel like a product on a supermarket shelf. Now that he had a new place to live, of course he decided to move.
"I need to bring some of my things back before moving," Kane said.
Harry wanted to say that he should take care of everything himself and buy all new things, like the domineering CEO in the melodramatic soap operas Aunt Petunia watches, but when he thought about how not everything can be measured by money, and the feelings that were poured into them, he didn't say anything.
He had simply booked a room on the second floor of the Leaky Cauldron in advance, waiting for Kane to bring his things back.
Soon, in Dumbledore's bedroom at Hogwarts, Kane was quickly tidying up his campfire, stuffing the firewood from Stone Brother directly into his pocket. If possible, he even considered knocking down the floorboards to take with him.
As for whether suddenly setting off the bonfire at the Leaky Cauldron would reinforce Harry's impression of him as a homeless person...
Between face and life, life is naturally more important.
Unlike Kane, who was bustling about in the bedroom, Dumbledore was pinching the bridge of his nose with a hint of helplessness in the office, perhaps hoping that this would temporarily straighten his crooked nose.
I originally wanted to observe Kane's bizarre magical form up close, but as soon as I went out today, I had to move house when I came back. What a mess!
He naturally couldn't criticize Hagrid, and he hadn't said those things before.
Kane soon emerged from the bedroom, and Dumbledore smiled and asked, "Is everything ready?"
"We still need to go to the Forbidden Forest to cut some wood," Kane replied.
Dumbledore's expression changed. At Hogwarts, the professors could easily deal with tree-people, but the common wizards in Diagon Alley were struggling to handle them.
We have to stop him!
