Chapter 63 Church Seeks Help
Chapter 63 Church Seeks Help
Mai Shude reached out to cover the hole in her body, but blood continued to flow.
"I...lost..."
She looked up at Su An in a daze, the light and shadow around her flickered, and her lips moved as if she wanted to say something.
But the blue orb of light didn't give her time to say her last words. With a sudden burst of light, the orb expanded and shattered Mai Shude's body from the middle.
Blood rained down on the walls of Odin's Hall, splashing onto the bricks and leaving behind a half-red silhouette.
With a thud, Su An threw the enemy's half-corpse to the ground like a rag.
He crouched down to examine the body on the ground more closely, a hint of doubt creeping into his eyes.
He savored the attack he had just landed and shook his head: "The feel of it didn't seem quite right."
He was talking with his head down when he suddenly looked up and looked out the window.
The remaining invaders had already taken the opportunity to scatter and escape, soon to disappear completely into the shadows of the Kassel buildings.
Su An raised his finger and shot out one small blue ball after another into the darkness.
Chirp chi ...—
The blue light split into several smaller blue beams, attacking each intruder.
They discovered the attack from behind and began to scream in despair.
"Don't come any closer!"
"I... I haven't seen my fiancée one last time!"
"I haven't become the Hunter King yet!"
"Who the hell is that Hunter King who infiltrated last?" Su An complained.
One beam of light after another pierced through the fleeing intruders, some through their brains, some through their necks, and some through their hearts.
They fell one by one. Suan deliberately restrained his power, just enough to kill the invaders without destroying the buildings in Kassel. Otherwise, Manstein would have gone mad again.
He heard cheers coming from the temporary command center through his headset; several professors in the command center witnessed the whole process.
Manstein and Guderian embraced excitedly, and even Professor Schneider, who was usually stoic, smiled despite wearing a respirator.
"Truly worthy of being an S-class rank."
Guderian said with relief, taking out a handkerchief to wipe the cold sweat from his face, which was still shaken.
"Fingal should be able to graduate if he follows Su An."
"Moreover, he consciously protected the academy's exquisite buildings while eliminating the invaders."
Manstein was equally pleased and remarked that Suan was a really good kid, completely different from those extravagant people in the executive department.
Each time, the madman in the executive department would leave him with a huge pile of bills, which Manstein considered completely unnecessary expenses.
Compared to them, Su An was truly a breath of fresh air among that group of lunatics, and with such formidable strength, he would undoubtedly bring a fresh perspective to the Executive Department once he joined. Manstein thought to himself absentmindedly.
Professor Schneider stared quietly at Su An on the screen. Painful memories from beneath the Greenland Sea in the Arctic resurfaced from the depths of his heart, and an absurd expectation spread through his mind—if Su An had been born a few years earlier, would everything have been possible to change?
"For him, perhaps the Dragon King is just a lion that's harder to kill. He really seems capable of ending the history of the dragon race," Schneider murmured.
"It seems there's still one intruder left undetected," Professor Manstein said, looking at Norma's analysis with a puzzled expression.
Schneider nodded.
"Yes, he was a very cunning intruder who separated himself from the main force from the very beginning."
I even had the illusion that Su An had only dealt with the decoy force, and that the real mission was carried out by the intruder who had slipped through.
They're plotting something famous.
"Any clues?" Manstein asked.
"At first we thought it was a lone intruder, but after we sent people to check the wall, we found some bloodstains left by that guy."
He probably cut his hand while climbing over the wall. Guess what? The bloodstains showed a clear reaction on the serum test strip; the intruder was a guy with extremely high dragon blood.
Professor Schneider took a deep breath
"I guess he came for something special."
"Something special?" Professor Manstein asked.
"The things that Ye Sheng and Ya Ji brought out from the bronze tomb, and that Su An kept guarding in the hands of the Dragon Attendant."
"But isn't that thing stored in the warehouse of the Three Gorges Dam branch in China?"
Professor Guderian was stunned.
"When did you return to the academy?"
"Perhaps just half an hour ago, under the principal's escort, he did not notify anyone."
I checked the helicopter hangar report and found that the helicopter had landed in the hangar half an hour earlier, and an hour earlier, an extra train, CC1000, had arrived at the station.
"There's only one person in the entire college who can add extra trains without my approval, and that's the principal."
Professor Schneider said.
"I have one more direct piece of evidence."
"What?"
Professor Schneider switched screens and opened his email inbox, where an email had just been read.
"My dear students, thanks to the valiant Suan, our academy has reaped tremendous rewards. I've heard that Kassel has seen some new invading enemies, but there's no need to worry; I have faith in your strength. My only blessing is that you follow in Suan's footsteps and together end the history of the dragons."
Best of luck to you.
Your faithful friends.
Angers.
P.S.: Your performance in dealing with the intruders will be considered a test and will be included in your final grade.
"This email was sent to everyone in the university half an hour ago," Professor Schneider said.
"What...did he bring back from China?" Professor Manstein guessed roughly, "Norton's urn."
"Then where is that thing?"
"If I'm not mistaken, the urn containing the bones of the Dragon King Norton should be located in the most heavily guarded 'ice cellar'."
The elite forces of the Executive Department are now concentrated at the entrance outside the "Ice Cellar," so the students on the surface have become the main force against the invaders.
Professor Schneider breathed a sigh of relief as he watched the signal coming from the ice cellar indicating that everything was normal.
"Won't this thing pique the interest of those dragon followers?"
They probably came for this very reason—for the power and influence behind the Dragon King's bone urn—but unfortunately, they've run into a brick wall.
"Yes, but I just can't understand why the principal would bring such an important thing back to the academy, put it away, and then not notify anyone, only sending an email that classes would begin soon."
Professor Manstein touched his bald head.
"So sometimes he's even more oblivious than I am!" Professor Guderian nodded.
"I guess he's not just dense."
Schneider's gaze was distant.
I think it's because of trust.
"trust?"
"Um"
Schneider turned his gaze to Su An's blue eyes on the monitor screen, muttering to himself.
"Angers' unparalleled trust in S-class freshman Suan."
"Alarm! Alarm! The church is requesting assistance!"
Suddenly, alarms sounded in the command center, and the screen abruptly switched to the church, where the explosion and flames made Schneider's eyes widen.
"Chu Zihang is in trouble? Where is Su An? Quickly ask him for help!"
