Chapter 156 Enel Appears!
Chapter 156 Enel Appears!
Picking up where we left off, after defeating the chieftain, Goten returned to Robin's side and continued to examine the ruins with her. However, after searching around, they didn't find anything of value, not even a single fragment of gold. So, Goten decided to head towards the top of a towering root and try to get a better look from above.
As soon as they took off, they were stopped by a cannonball fired from a distance. When Goten saw the other party clearly, he immediately realized that it was the man who had attacked him and his group when they first arrived on the sky island. So Goten temporarily landed back on the ground. After the other party came in front of him, Goten formally asked, "You, why have you attacked us time and time again? We don't have any deep hatred between us, do we?"
The man shouted, "Shut up! We, the Shandian warrior Vepa, will never allow anyone to take away our land and the Golden Bell!"
Upon hearing this, Goten was immediately startled and asked again, "Are you Shandians? You are the descendants of the native inhabitants of Jaya Island that Noland encountered 400 years ago. I see, Noland was not lying after all..." Goten breathed a sigh of relief as he spoke.
Wipa was a little confused when he saw this, and questioned Goten: "You've come to steal the symbol of the Shandians' glory, haven't you? I will never allow it! I will drive you all out, including Enel, the god who is running rampant here!"
Upon hearing this, Goten immediately stretched his limbs, assumed a fighting stance, and declared to Wipa, "Since you're so confident, then go all out and attack! Maybe we can win!"
Seeing this, Robin decisively stepped aside and silently watched Goten fight Wipa...
Facing Weapon again, Goten was fully prepared this time. He started with a dash, instantly elbowing Weapon back, followed by two straight punches and an elbow strike that knocked Weapon to the ground. Finally, he kicked Weapon away, sending him flying...
Wipa stood up, his previous high spirits gone in an instant. He hadn't expected Goten to be so powerful. However, he quickly picked up the rocket launcher again and fired at Goten. Goten easily dodged both shots by dodging to the left and right.
So Wipa simply threw away the rocket launcher, showed off the seashell in his hand, and strode towards Goten. He pressed the seashell against Goten's chest and shouted, "Push!" The moment he pressed the seashell down, Goten and Wipa were simultaneously knocked away and propelled away by the reaction force.
Upon seeing this, Robin couldn't help but shout, "Goten! Are you alright?!"
Wipa clutched his right arm, the one that had unleashed the attack, and cried out in pain. Seeing how disheveled Wipa was, Robin became even more worried about Goten's condition, so she called out in Goten's direction, "Goten, what's wrong? Answer me!"
Once he recovered, Wipa choked Robin's shouts—"You don't need to shout anymore, that kid's finished. No one can withstand the power of the Repulse Beam. This battle is mine..."
Before he could finish speaking, Goten's voice interrupted him—"What nonsense are you spouting! I haven't fallen yet!" Wipa was shocked to hear this, only to see Goten spitting out blood, his clothes torn, and walking back shirtless...
Upon hearing this, Wipa was shocked and looked incredulously at Goten, who was still standing in front of him despite being attacked by Vegeta. He wanted to get up and continue fighting, but a terrifying voice came from behind him—"Oh, that's interesting. You guys can actually put on such a wonderful fight..."
Wipa turned his head and saw that the newcomer was none other than the so-called god—"Enel." Enel looked at the group with a playful expression, showing no regard for them whatsoever. Wipa immediately prepared to attack Enel, but Goten used Instant Transmission to pin him to the ground...
Goten held onto Weapon until he was sure Weapon couldn't get up again, then he let go, stood up, and said to Enel in front of him, "You're the so-called god, right? I've come to deal with you as promised. Ignore these guys, let's have a proper fight!"
Upon hearing this, Enel immediately activated his power, and lightning bolts shot towards Goten in an instant. Goten, seeing this, kicked Weepa away and then jumped to the other side to dodge...
After stopping, Goten decisively said to Robin, "Robin, go to a safe place. This guy is a bit troublesome. It would be bad if he accidentally hurts you..." Robin listened and obediently moved away.
Then the battle between Goten and Enel officially began. Goten used the same technique he had used against Wipa, and quickly rushed in front of Enel. However, none of his attacks hit Enel. It seemed that Enel had seen through Goten's attack pattern, and Goten's attacks could not hit him at all.
Enel simply used his elemental transformation when Goten touched his body, which caused Goten to be electrocuted and forced to stagger back several steps. Upon seeing this, Robin realized that the so-called god was nothing more than a Devil Fruit user.
Goten realized this as well, and with a loud laugh, he took out a special fist from the Magic Ring—a fist that Usopp had modified using Seastone (the Seastone cage that Crocodile used to imprison Luffy and the others, which Goten had stored in the Magic Ring). He then transformed into a Super Saiyan, proudly declaring, "The real battle is about to begin..."
Enel scoffed, "What, you think you can defeat me with just a gauntlet?" The next second, Goten's fist landed squarely on Enel's stomach. Enel, spitting as he was punched, hadn't even reacted before Goten delivered another right hook, sending him flying...
Enel was forced to change his approach. Facing Goten's renewed attack, he used his Psychic Strike to dodge Goten's attacks time and again, while simultaneously using his trident to unleash lightning strikes. Seeing his attacks miss again, Goten fell into thought once more, quickly realizing that his opponent was using sensory perception to evade his attacks...
Just as Zoro was still pondering a solution at home, he was thrown onto the battlefield by the Compass Bird, while Chopper arrived at the same time, wounded. Upon seeing Goten, Chopper immediately shouted excitedly, "Goten, I defeated the priest too! I've become a warrior too!"
Enel looked at Chopper upon hearing this, and the next second, a barrage of lightning struck him. Goten, seeing this, quickly used Instant Transmission to shield Chopper with his arms. Zoro was about to intervene when Goten stopped him—"Zoro, stop! That guy is my opponent, I'll handle him..."
Seeing Goten injured because of him, Chopper couldn't help but apologize with a pitiful expression—"I'm sorry, Goten, because I made you..."
However, Goten said, "Chopper, there's no need to apologize. You did a great job. You defeated a priest, didn't you? That's already pretty good. It was that guy who lacked sportsmanship. Don't worry, I won't lose to that kind of idiot god."
Chopper was deeply moved by Goten's words, and Goten continued, "Speaking of which, Chopper, go and heal that warrior lying over there, please..." Chopper followed the direction Goten was pointing and saw Wipa. Although he was a little doubtful, he was still willing to trust Goten and go to heal Wipa.
Goten yelled at Enel, "You idiot god! I'm your opponent! Use whatever moves you have on me!" Enel immediately manipulated lightning and closed in on Goten...
